April 20th-23rd 2012 :: 10 Year Anniversary! :: Theme: Tiny World
My first Ludum Dare entry. It's for two players and it's like curling with a dash of Marble Madness. In space!
INSTRUCTIONS:
When it's your turn you can press left or right to line up your shot and hold space bar to begin your throw. The sooner you let go of the space bar, the faster you'll throw it. So if you want to knock someone out of position, let go immediately. If you want a short-range throw for a defensive position, hold on for a second or two.
Once the brooms come out you can mash the space bar to reduce friction and keep the rock rolling. In short, sweep if you want to go faster. At any point after you've thrown you can hit the left or right arrow keys to steer in that direction.
The player with the rock closest to the middle of the house (the target at the end) wins! Good curling, and thanks for playing!

Wish the arrow keys were small adjustments instead of all-left or all right, but still a really fun, stable game.
Graphics are well done, and the end screen was cute.
Everything is really polished, and even though I'm not any good, I thoroughly enjoyed playing it :)
Interesting game - and a funny theme. It's pretty hard to know how your shove is going to do, and the sweeping also has unknowable effects. I'd love for there to be just a little more feedback - like a speed gauge or something - so that you could do something smart while your planet rolls along. Fun idea, well made - nice work.
Very nice game, very polished. Fun but I wish I had friends to play this with... though I still can't ever get anything in the center >.<
Fantastic game! All I had to do was read "curling" and I was hooked. haha.
Woo! I love curling. Only thing I wish for was more feedback and smaller adjustments (almost micro adjustments, like real curling) for more skillful shots.
Cool, a curling game! Quite nice, but lack of an AI opponent limited the fun I could get out of it. Also the collisions between stones I mean worlds were surprisingly soft. I really enjoyed the little brooms. :)
I really enjoyed it! The music worked well with the overall theme and the graphics looked great. It was a little hard to push the other planets though.
Good job!
