April 20th-23rd 2012 :: 10 Year Anniversary! :: Theme: Tiny World
Tiny World's Lunar CTF is my first submition to a game compo of any kind; and it's actually my first game.
The game is VERY buggy right now as I simply ran out of time to tweak out the gameplay. If the AI isn't responding, just reload/refresh until it does.
Missing is all UI features, game win/lose events, title/credits/how-to screens.
The controls are WASD/Arrows + Mouse.
The game is built in GameMaker:HTML5. I chose that engine when my Java dev enviroment went in to Crazy Land about 6 hours before the start of LD#23.

Hey mitkus, I think there's enough here to be worthy finishing. I'll update in more detail once I've had a couple of days of rest.
This is pretty cool, with a few more features it could be a lot of fun. I had a lot of trouble attacking the enemy without also dying.
It's not a bad concept, but there isn't really much to it right now. What would be *really* cool is if you made us of that planet mechanic such that, you could jump from one planet to another to escape the fight and/or get an advantage on your opponent. And with epic rockets and lasers this could be seriously amazing!
But good job on your first game though!
I think the No.1 change that should be made is to make the bullets affected by the gravity (meaning you have to arc your shots around the moon)! Bung that in and you've got the beginnings of a pretty original idea.
Not a bad start, but its too glitchy. I'd also consider having the jump launch the character higher, so they can actually use it to dodge attacks.
The basic concept is alright. It is as the author states the unfinished nature of many features that lets this game down a bit.
Again I sorely miss music/background audio.
Nice art, but not really much to do, could definitely be the start of something
Um... It seems unbeatable. the guy doesn't move. so he respawns every time you kill him so it looks like he has infinite health meaning no one wins, no one loses. It look like it would be fun if it worked though.
Neat idea! Just need that extra little bit of polish. Maybe power ups to break stalemates? And first compos are always tough. LDs get easier as you do more.
Liked the graphics a lot! Not sure what the AI was doing, but I managed to capture the flag once.
It's incomplete, but it looks great. Could be the start of something.
I like the design of this, I'd like to see more added to it. The jump needs work, you can't really use it to avoid the enemy's attacks at all. And approaching the enemy is basically instant death. But, it's an interesting idea!
cool graphics seems like it can be preaty good with a bit more work.
I like the planet combat, but I couldn't really figure out what to do. For a first game though, this is pretty amazing. Good job!
congratulations on your first game! even as a first go it's fun and nice. i like the concept a lot and hope you work out the bugs. nice job.
nice graphics, the game is nice too but lack of actual gameplay feature that make it interesting, gravity bullet like said earlier can be call, especially if your bullet can cancel the ennemy bullet.

Nice graphics style! Also, quite fun to play, despite all the glitches.
