Tiny world on mercury

by Marthog - 48 Hour Compo Entry

As a result of the population growth, mankind needs more planets for resources.
The mercury is a hostile planet but there is a lot of iron and nickel and so people have build mines.
The worker live in biospheres in which they can live without breathing apparatuses and without protection clothing
Unfortunately a meteor shower will destroy one of the biospheres.
Try to destroy all meteorites with a laser cannon before they reach the mine.
But do not hope to destroy all of them. There are to many.

Interesting concept, do you plan on developing it further?

Cool graphics, would be cool if you added a score so that I know how well I did.

=D nice to see one brave enough to go for a 3D game in a 48H schedule. Good job

(PS- Is it possible to win? I played two times and it always reached a point where I couldn't deal with the incoming meteorites)

Nice game! As said, it would be cool to see this developed further!

pretty fun! I couldnt keep up at the end, but that made it challenging. Pretty fun, simple mechanic too :)

I like the core idea here, the fixed viewpoint makes it difficult to shoot meteorites depending on their angle of attack. Never played a 3D missile defender before!

When this does support OpenGL, why you do not create a Linux native. Whatever, it worked fine using Wine.

- The idea isn't very innovative (biospheres, destroy asteriods)
- the models and textures are ugly
- sound is ok, but could be better
- the biosphere should have some awesome interior and human, to have a motivation to save it
- there should be other gravity

interesting, moving around didnt seem to have much point though, it was far easier to just get on the dome and act like a stationary turret lack of score and such made it kinda uninteresting though, didnt really feel like playing a game...i didnt even see the health bar at first so ignored the rocks nad went exploring under the map instead.

Hey, this game is kinda similar to ours. Incidentally, it's an amazing, innovative idea :).
