    Flea Circus - EddM - 48 Hour Compo Entry

    A simple platformer. [left] and [right] arrows to move, [up] to jump. Stay away from the nasties and eat the fruit!

    I didn't have enough time to flesh out the story more, which is a shame. Too much playing League of Legends.

    The level design also sucks. There's only two (very, very, small) levels, and I didn't get to do different art for both of them so they look identical. Oh well, this game was more of a technical achievement for me than a masterpiece of game design.

    Written in Ruby with some help from the Gosu framework (http://libgosu.org). Source code available - run it from source, or one of the Windows/OS X executables. Music was made with the help of the built-in samples inside GarageBand for the iPad.

    Dude, just about everything in this game works consistently and as expected. I know, that sounds lame but you yourself said this was more of a technical achievement. I feel like my game bugs out if you so much as look at it funny. So good job there.

    I finished the whole thing so nothing immediately turned me off about this game...

    It really needed more though! More levels, more story, more mechanics.

    Nice little game! I particularly like the theme interpretation and the initial story. Didn't get to finish, though - took me a while to understand I was being hit by the fly, and suddenly I died and the app closed (I think a simple setback to the beginning of the level would do the trick as a punishment without scaring players away). Anyway, good job! :)

    Got the theme perfect for me. Also great music where it is. So 5s for both of them! Needs tweaking probably on the level design like you say and perhaps the jumping mechanic. This is the first game I've actually got to the end of since the first Mass Effect I think!!

    Intro was nicely put together. Jumping feels slightly "off", and I couldn't get the hang of catching the swinging ropes/clock pendulums at all, but all in all not bad.
    Could be fun with a bit more content.

    The intro was nice and the mood is well set.
    When i lose i have no option to retry the level, i can only press ok and the game closes :/

    It's good for its length, but the second level repeats over and over ad infinitum.

    I love the intro music. Wish the game didn't automatically quit when I die.
