April 20th-23rd 2012 :: 10 Year Anniversary! :: Theme: Tiny World
You are a scientist that accidentally got shrunken.
arrows or wasd to move, jump with space, x, up or w
Updated version includes bugfixes:
* End screen disappears if you hold down movement on goal and release when it has appeared.
* Updated to love 0.8 (kinda works in love 0.7, but dies if you esc-quit)
Note: google(my host) seams to have some 404 issues with the new links so I'll wait and see if it's a cache issue or I'll have to go looking for another host.

As said before: "Nice, could see lots of potential there for more levels." Reminds me of some DOS platformers that I used to play. Though I couldn't name your one - it's just the *feeling*.
On Ubuntu, get following error:
"AdvTiledLoader/Loader.lua:14"
"no file AdvTiledLoader/external/deflatelua/lua.lua"
The Love 0.7 seems to be mandatory. I couldn't get it running on Linux or Windows with Love 0.8 ( Got the same error as racarate ). The windows binary works fine.
Forgot to mention. I liked the art style but really hated that messy professor after dying once again and again. Got to goal eventually.
Cute game. The difficulty was the right ammount of challenging, although the "rat on spikes" jump was a bit counter intuitive (you needed to be facing back for the rat to propel you forward -- what?).
When you get to the end of the game, you will be holding "forward", and this will make you leave the end screen automatically - I could not read what was written there.
Thanks for the game!
It some nice potential, some problems with choppy framerates and pixel perfect jumps but other wise OK. Nice graphics on the character!
Nifty!
Very nice graphic, good music. But tough controls and level design.
Now there's impaled scientists all over.
The screen shot looks cool, but I don't want to install Love 0.7
This is along the lines of what I first though when I saw the theme was Tiny World although I ended up taking a different approach in the end.
Glad to see someone made a game like this. Overall a pretty fun game.
> jump was a bit counter intuitive (you needed to be facing back for the rat to propel you forward -- what?)
That shouldn't be the case. The jumping direction is based on where on the rat you land, land on the left part to go left or land on the right part to go right. Neither your or the rat direction should be taken into account.
FUn little platformer - well done with the theme, the graphics are really good, although the rat is a bit... malnutritioned ;) The character was a bit challenging to control, but I have reached the goal. Wish there was more levels!

Nice, could see lots of potential there for more levels. Nice idea bouncing on the rat, that one big row of tacks took a while to get, but nice sense of achievement once it was done.
I'll bet that if the scientist ever gets back to full size he'll put all those damned thumb tacks away in a draw!
