April 20th-23rd 2012 :: 10 Year Anniversary! :: Theme: Tiny World
Pwn monsters and collect berries. Yay! My first ever Ludum Dare entry.
Tested only on Windows 7, but should work on linux/mac too. Requires java (if you don't have it, get the latest). Extract zip and double click the jar file. Check README for gameplay instructions.

There may be too little graphical content to notice (as I pretty much ran out of time), but it is the world of tiny creatures, therefore "Tiny world".
no matter what i fought it always killed me before i had a chance :/
Aww, shucks :/ Go for the level 1 and 2 monsters at first and try to find a berry if you're low on HP. Remember to read the README for instructions. The stats menu shows your attack speed ( hits / second ). Target the enemy and keep hitting 'a' on your keyboard (must be close enough to the enemy).
Interesting little ARPG. Controls were a little weird at first, but made sense once I read the README. Congratulations on your first LD!
Wander around, get killed. It does work on my Slackware box though.
Interesting action RPG. Not sure why "select" and "attack" are two different commands. And the character could probably move a little faster. But hey--you made a game in 48 hours!
Yeah. I'll try to keep the idea simple and interesting next time so I'll have more time to concentrate on gameplay. The character movement speed increase is a bit unbalanced (grows on each level up) among many other stats..
It was too easy to just avoid the monsters. You have to make it so that the players have to fight them, because we're lazy, we won't if we don't have to, even if it means we're not getting the full game experience. :)
Congratulations for first entry, good one :)
My feedback, delete enemies when changing areas. I found very annoying getting back to a map and found 20 enemies :)
Great work for you first LD :-)
Really nice little RPG.
Next time try to add some more content to the game like choosing how to distribute your stats, more monster etc. Well Done!
I wasn't able to kill any of the enemies, so I just avoided them; it is way easier this way.
The only clue I could find that this game is related to "tiny world" is the relative size of everyone against those huge berries. A weak link, I think, but works.
The music sounds a little Zelda-esque :-)
Not bad for a 48 hs. game! Needs improvements (graphics can be improved for sure), but it managed to keep me entertained. Keep working on it!
Awesome, that it entertained someone! I don't think I'll be developing this specific game further, unless I find the energy to do a whole lot of code refactoring. Had to use a whole lot of bubblegum solutions to get even this much done.
That "left click - select" "right click - move" came from some MMOs I've been playing, I kind of liked it myself.
It was okay, the controls werent the best, but I liked the idea of it and the graphics style was nice.

I don't really see how this is related to Tiny World, congratulations on your first Ludum Dare, though.
