April 20th-23rd 2012 :: 10 Year Anniversary! :: Theme: Tiny World
From the intro:
You are the protector of this planet.
You have kept it safe from disaster for hundreds of years.
But now a new threat has arrived.
Your planet has been swallowed by a giant vessel.
I really enjoyed my first Ludum Dare. Thanks for taking the time to play my game!
If you're interested in what went into this; I used Otomata for music, bfxr for sounds, Audacity for audio editing, GIMP for tiles and sprites, kilo (my JS library) for base code, and JavaScript edited in Eclipse (with Aptana and MercurialEclipse plugins used)! Also, bitbucket for play hosting and code repositories.

I dug the music. The dead planets were somewhat hard to see, though and I never got terribly far into the game. I like the concept, though.
Cambrian_Man: I should have tested on more machines. I could see them fine on my dev machine, but at work today they're nearly invisible. My bad!
I like the megascale structure interpretation of the theme, very space opera/sci-fi. The difficulty ramp was well judged and there were some nice risk/reward dilemmas thrown at the player. Nice crisp graphics too, I persevered until I beat it ;)
This game is so simple, yet I found it a lot of fun. Nice job!
I like the idea of playing as the world! ANd the shrinking mechanic is very cool too!
i was really enjoying the music, but it stopped playing after a while! started back up when i restarted the level, though.
I really liked the atmosphere of it, and I felt so guilty the first time I had to shrink. Controlling the planet was great.
I feel like the hitbox for the lightning and dead planets was maybe a bit too large; There were a few times where I was hit when I thought I was safe, but maybe I just suck :P
I quite like the concept, the music was pretty cool too. I couldn't get that far though, since it's very difficult for me. Nevertheless, it's pretty cool.
Interesting concept and good music.
I didn't get very far though. The dead planets hitboxes seem to be square, which seems off as I keep dying without actually touching them.
Well, well, well: what have we got here? And unpredictable interpretation of the theme. And it's fun, too! =)
