December 16th-19th 2011 :: Theme: Alone
The Four Hats just can't seem get away from all their fans to record their next album. Guide them away from the horde of adoring fans and the paparazzi so they can get away to the studio and record their next hit!
The game is for iOS (and now ported to OSX) and was built using cocos2d and chipmunk.
You can get the iOS app through testflight:
Register your iOS device: http://bit.ly/gU8RCH
Download the app: http://bit.ly/u7gyan
You can get the OS/X port from the OS/X link above.
What Next?
We are going to submit Four Hats to the App Store after Apple's holiday break and will continue development on additional levels and characters if people enjoy the game. We original pictured a much bigger game, but the 72 hour time limit restricted what we could build.

The form has Windows marked as a required field. There is no iOS radio button.
My apologies! Released the OS was editable when re-examining the form. Updated the entry to reflect that. I blame it on the 72 hours of brain melting.
What version of iOS is installed? Has the app been installed through testflight? I only see one 3GS that signed up for testflight and I hadn't approved it yet, but am doing so now.
@VonZippenstein I believe your device has just been added to the provisioning file. (Or at least a 3GS who signed up around the time you left the comment)
Yup, that did it. It works fine. Testflight was just giving me bad messages. Instead of saying "Hey you gotta wait until you're approved." it said "This device is incompatible."
Anyways, the game is great.
I really love the music and the art.
It is very tough. I couldn't seem to get passed the halfway point.
That paparazzi stun is a killer. Especially right after the lightpole jump.
Fits the theme perfect. Just want to be alone.
I like it.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed it! It is definitely a bit hard. If it we had time to make more content we would definitely have slowed the ramp up in difficulty.
Testflight isn't the best distribution option, but I think it is the only option we had for iOS. Next time we will probably build a flash game.
It seems like a fun game, but I don't have an iOS device. I am not familiar with the development tools that you've used, is it possible to release a web based or PC version, so I could try it?
Hey guys, sadly no web or PC version, but I should have time to port it to OSX over the weekend. Stay tuned!
It ended up taking almost no time to port, just had to figure out what OSX libraries to link to. Enjoy!
Lovely art. Fun choice of iOS for development. Shame there's no windows build for iOS judging, however.
Hey, really cool! Thanks for supplying a OS X version, I played that one, worked great. When I died it kinda felt inevitable, because there wasn't really a way out, it seemed. But, other than that, top graphics, sound, overall package :)

Where's Windows or web versions we are promised? All I can see on the linked page is the iOS one.
