December 16th-19th 2011 :: Theme: Alone
You are Fernand, security officer on a remote mining planet. There is trouble in the air and you are the one to protect the colony.
Thrust through the mining tunnels in your ship, avoiding the hazzards and shooting all the enemies you can imagine.
Collect the Log files to piece together what has happened to the colony.
NOTE: there is a wee problem with the collision on the spinning sawblades (spoiler LOL) so keep away from the corners mmkay?! xx

Aw man, totally smashed against a spikewheel's hitbox corner. Maybe you should've made their hitbox a circle? :D
I love the controls, really solid!
@naxum, I planned on adding circular hit detection but ran out of time (along with a lot of other things :) ) thanks for playing!
Very nice game! Solid gameplay, good difficulty curve, and I think it had some depth. I got a little frustrated when I died deep into the game, so I never finished it, restarting from the beginning is brutal... but kudos!
Also had @naxum's problem with the hitbox corner. :)
Fun game! Tough, but really complete for a 48hour game. I like!
Nice game, good controls.
You could pack the jar file a little bit better and it could work for linux/mac ;) plus and applet :)
I liked it!
I think I finished it. I'm not sure.
Either I beat the game or was tricked into committing suicide.
I liked it. Some parts were tricky and those sawblades with the square hitbox convinced me to leave a couple log boxes unread.
I had a great time. Thanks.
Great game!
I like the slowly panning camera it makes me feel so isolated.
I found I had to quit at one point as a log dialogue wouldn't go away for me, but I had a lot of fun with it.
@Zuieni thanks, I'll try building it for mac/linux soon.
@VonZippenstein yes, you completed it (might have been confusing without the other log files though) :D
@Kelly Thomas thanks for playing, sorry about the bug!
Oops sorry there was a prob with the filename, should work now!
Haha, brilliant! the graphics are nice and the controls smooth (although, hit boxes seemed a bit strange, and i think the 1-hit kill on saw blades is a tad unfair...)- plays nicely.
Twist is hilarious. Nice job!
This game is great! Granted, way hard and unforgiving (at least where saws are concerned) but regenerating health did a lot to help my patience and perseverance.
I didn't see a strong relation with the theme until I tracked down more of the log files. I still haven't beaten the game, but I got far enough to understand what's happening. The logs really bring the game together!
Would be nice to have the images in the source, so you know, people could actually run it?
Would be nice if you could unzip the jar file to get all the data. Oh wait, you can. No need to be rude.
Really nice. The game feels fluid and is very fun/responsive to play. It also has kittens and a twist (twisttens?)
The opening screen was great, but there was a big delay between pressing space and the game actually beginning.
It's a fun game. Controls well, good graphics, but...
BUZZSAWS!!! D:
Nice game and nice controls. The sound effects where well done too. I had fun with this game.
Woo! I love wall-proof ships that can thrust backwards!
This game felt really complete, and was a lot of fun.
The gameplay was solid, the graphics were appropriate, and the story... was unique and clever. Excellent work!
Very nice. The "spaceship in the mine" reminded me of Descent. Good work!
Solid game, but desperately needs checkpoints. Other than that, I liked the sounds and art.
Side note, but I had the strangest deja-vu reading the chat logs.
Nice little game. The camera follow was so slow though! I don't get it.
