December 16th-19th 2011 :: Theme: Alone
A game where you may or may not be playing on your own.
Currently requires the most recent stable version of Chrome (which should have been auto-applied for most people) or the nightly build of Firefox (which mostly works but has no sound).

Sorry, seems to be a bug there with random deaths that gets more frequent as the server runs for a while... I'll restart it occasionally for now.
I don't really get it. Is it just shoot the other dots? I kept dying from the 'invisible bullet' bug and other dots often didn't die when I shot them. But sometimes they did. Sometimes bullets plainly hit me and I didn't die. It could do with a scoreboard or something to make the events a bit less arbitrary. Still, not bad at all for a 48 hour effort! Congratulations on getting it this far :)
I've fixed the invisible bullet bug now, there were some not being collected properly, I'm a bit unsure as to whether that's within the rules under minor bugfixes but I hope it's allowable.
Bullets do damage based on the relative velocities between them and you, so it's possible to take a few hits before dieing, I didn't get round to having visual feedback for taking damage though.
Please add arrow keys for controls, wasd is not convenient on all keyboards.
I like the mouse/keyboard control combo for this type of game. Several I've played thus far use a set of keys for both which is clunky.
game never loads on firefox 6.0 (it doesnt even show the game area, just immediately gives me a retry button), can't really try on nightly build as i dont really want to update a ton of custom plugins just to try this game, so far all other html5 entries have worked fine.
Your game doesn't run on the latest Chromium for Linux, it crashes whenever I click or press a key...
Nice with the multiplayer implementation, I'm assuming one can take a lot from this experience and implement it in later games?
@Raptor85: Sorry you couldn't play it. It's requiring those browsers due to using the latest websocket and binary data array support in javascript which it uses for efficient netcode.

Losing seems arbitrary as nothing really hits me nor do I hit anything
