December 16th-19th 2011 :: Theme: Alone
Hell, yeah, I made a gameboy styled RPG in 48 hours!!! Inspired by the final fantasy legend, mystic quest(final fantasy adventure) and zelda games.
This is more of a prototype/demo with a lot of bugs and a broken fighting in the compo version. I will definitely continue to work on this.
Reading isn't dangerous, right?
Controls:
'x' - menu
'c' - hand/weapon attack
'v' - fireball attack
'b' - heal

Good job! Great music, and pretty good graphics.
Unfortunately a serious bug stopped me from progressing in that first dungeon (I think that's what you'd call it) located in the forest. I would attack something, and then the player would just started moving across the world from top-left to bottom-right, through the walls and everything. I'm using a Mac.
Nice nostalgia effort. You should def continue to polish it. At one point I was flying across the cave area like superman fireballing all the enemies :)
Wow this game look awesome ! You should fix that bug at the start of the first dungeon ( teleport to up-let at first contact ) because I really need to see more. Firt of all, the music is perfect (menu music and map music especialy ) ! I like the graphics too and the title + intro are top quality. Huge ammount of content for 48h !
i liked this a lot. amazing amount of work for 48 hours! nice stuff!

I fixed those bugs and extended the dungeons. I will link to the improved version shortly
I really liked the music! Good innovation! Unfortunately, every attempt led to a glitch of my character going in one direction though everything. (Post-Compo)
Also, some graphical glitechs occured. ;-)
I couldn't finish it due to a combination of bugs (inability to trigger switches, flying through walls) and getting mobbed to death. Still, what was there was impressive and ambitious, and I liked it!
I thought the target-based fighting in the first version was really interesting and I'm a bit sad you removed it in the later version in favor of more traditional Zelda-style stabbing. I think the targeting could have worked if you didn't require a menu command for attacking (and if fireballs went towards the target as well).
this looks so very promising but when I left the first town I was warped into the mountains and got stuck!!
Please smooth out the glitches for a post-compo release I would like to play it more.
Nice job! Although I think there should have been more towns and more things to do in the towns, which could have opened up more chances for humor!
