December 16th-19th 2011 :: Theme: Alone
The idea behind Lucid Solitude is to put the fear of being alone into a video game. Specifically, the fear of being alone in a particularly scary dream into a video game. Your goal is to collect all of the orbs before your fear overcomes your will to wake up.
Use WASD to move.
*This game is based largely on sound. It does get louder as you progress, so if it's hard to hear at the beginning, don't turn your speakers up so much right away.

I loved the music. Really cool! I wonder if its just one track that gets progressively weirder, or if its random sounds that play more often as time passes and as loneliness rises... Sounded like one of those weird psychedelic bits in the middle of a ridiculous 20 minute prog rock epic. Or like the kind of music you hear while Captain Beefheart talks!
Very creepy! I liked the idea of the light radius getting smaller as the time ran out, and the character getting faster. The music also worked very well with the mood.
You lose a few poinst for requiring an installer though :-(
BTW, how about a counter of how many orbs you still have to find?
The gameplay by itself is simple, but the increasing sounds and decreasing light make it very interesting.
Interesting game. A shame that you didn't rate a single game, though. :(

The sound and mood were great.
