Together Alone - zwets - Jam Entry

A fairly short but polished game about isolation, cooperation, and hope. The puzzles have a gentle difficulty curve. Give it a try, you might like it! :-)

UPDATE Jan 9th: There's a new, improved version available. Click the link above. Bugs have been fixed, special abilities added, there are more levels (22 for story mode and 4 challenge levels), and the game should be playable on smartphones. Enjoy!

Nice art with interesting gameplay that kept me going to the end. Nice one! :)

I got slightly confused at some points about which square each character was supposed to stand on, but other than that, great stuff!

Detection of a "dead end" when i fail a patern would be better imo
Nevertheless, i really enjoyed this for the gameplay.

Wow guys, very impressive. I’ve been looking at others games in this compo and I cannot see why you shouldn’t win this competition. The gameplay is fun, the story almost poetic and graphics are perfect!

@zanders3: yes, we worried about color confusion. I hope it wasn't too big of a deal; you can always find out with a little experimentation. The exit tile the current character is supposed to go to has particles over it, so that's also an indicator.

@Carduus: Yes, dead end detection is a good idea! We'll put that on our backlog. We do plan to keep working on this.

I love this game! The gameplay is unique as far as I know, I HAD to finish it to see if the two ever met and the graphics are great. I did mix up the gray tiles a few tiles but that could just be my monitor. The audio stopped a few minutes into it but what I did hear sounded good. Great job!

Thanks for the kind words! We're still working on the game and will release an updated version soon. Audio issues should be fixed by then. Also, each character will have a special ability and there will be a few more levels.

Contender for the first place in jam. Art and audio are good, idea for the game and level design is excellent, nice use of theme. Could use more levels, but for LD it was more than satisfactory. Congratulation.

This is a beautiful and fun game. I enjoyed it a lot--playing on Firefox but when I came back to it later, it wouldn't move past the "loading 99%" screen. If I didn't like it so much, I wouldn't be this disappointed right now!
