    For Glory! - SLiV - 48 Hour Compo Entry

    For Glory is a game about the dangerous expedition of a young hero into the depths of hell.

    It's a dungeon crawler featuring candles, coins and a lot of skeletons. And perhaps a kitten.

    Impressed how much context you created. The lighting was probably the best thing here. The difficulty curve was completely punishing though - I couldn't get past the third screen! Good effort

    I was really impressed with this one, I shat my pants when I died after being sneaked up on by an unseen enemy in a dark passage in the fifth or sixth level.
    This game is brutal, but a ton of fun; Great work, feel free to pat yourself on the back. :)

    Aha, impressive. Love the lighting and damn the third level was hard, damn enemies in the corner shooting ;D

    Great game. It got really difficult quickly - after around the 8th level, I just ran for the exit (because my "heroic" exploits won't be known by anyone other than myself).

    Love the lighting! Hard as crap... but at least I can look at pretty lights while I die repeatedly. :p Kinda hard to see the coin piles on my screen. I was NOT expecting the leveling system. Good work!

    I played the first levels killing & collecting everything, after that i just rushed, so the boss battle was impossible for me due to not having enought XP. Very good game! :)

    The lighting is excellent. The gameplay is frustrating. Unless there's some trick to it, it's very hard to tell the melee skulls from the shooting skulls. What does gold do?

    The lighting is great, but many rooms are way too dark. Great amount of content.

    And yes, I realise the game is pretty difficult. For some reason all my games are. I guess it's because I'm usually the only playtester.

    The standard shooting skulls have orange eyes, whereas the melee skulls have red, glowing eyes. Just a nuance, I guess.
    Also, the gold is part of the backdrop/story, but has no real gameplay purpose.

    As soon as the game launched I knew it was going to be good. One of the best games I've rated so far - and I have to say - it's one of the few that I'm going to keep. The only criticism I have is that the learning curve is a little steep - but that's what makes it fun.
