December 16th-19th 2011 :: Theme: Alone
Its supposed to show that the player is alone by making him playing co-op levels alone.
Its basically a puzzle where you push boxes and get a very wierd item.
Language: C++ with SDL
The control option in the menu isnt functional yet.
Controls: arrowkeys and space to select
Edit: you cant finish the game, i have a bug in loading what doors are related to which pessureplates. You can only come as far as to the room before the last room. Sorry.
I added the needed DLL file for music to work.

I had a lot of difficulty with this games, for the wrong reasons :\.
For one, i couldn't open the "controls" menu, so i was lost at how to do stuff (like the C ball things...i don't even know if i missed something else.
Most of the times you're searching for blocks you can move since some of them have the same sprite of the walls (and some are "pretending" to be walls), thats usually a bad move, too much trial and error.
Finally, i got stuck on a room once i used the C ball to open a door.
Still, for a 48 hour game, its decent, but the lack of instructions kind of ruined the game a bit.
Im sorry for not finishing the controls and not really thinking thru what that ball could cause. This is my first ludum dare, thank you for your comment. :)
Fun game, interesting take on the theme, with some nice puzzles. I too got stuck in a room that i opened with the ball :(.
Yeah I got stuck in the same spot as well. Spent a good minute and a half trying to select CONTROLS from the main menu. :(
Trial and error gameplay, blocks pushing with little regard for theme, and unexplained controls earned this a low ranking.
Heh, I really liked your take on the theme! "Your partner couldn't come". I also liked the idea for the design of the main character - blue on one side, red on the other.
Nice game!
But you shouldn't make the movable blocks identical to the unmovable ones: I pushed them against the wall a few times because of that. Also you should add a reset button somewhere.
Finally, a game with muic, yey :) Decent graphics too, shame there's no way to make the winow larger. But... I got stuck quite early, as I tend to loose patience really fast with this kind of game.
This was a nice puzzle game as long as it lasted. And i really loved the music.
