December 16th-19th 2011 :: Theme: Alone
The name has nothing to do with the plot. I tried to submit this for the competition, but I didn't finish on time. Randomly generates levels and names. Not much of an artist, so the graphics aren't very good. Also, no sound. Written in C with SDL. Windows version coming soon.

This is really neat idea, it does fit the theme despite what you've said and there's some neat concepts in there.
A few things that would have been nice would be knowing how much health the bosses had left and making their physics a touch more reliable. That and a bit of balancing and you've got something I'd really enjoy sinking some time into.
Well done.
Randomly generating levels is a neat idea, but unfortunately the game lacks in execution.
I hope your okay with this because I compiled the source to windows ;) So our windows friends can enjoy it too!
It is compiled with Windows XP 32bit, mingw + SDL.

And now to the game! It was fun and it fits the theme. It was easy to get lost but still fun. When the texts appears it stalls the gameplay which is kinda annoying.
Oh, and Merry Christmas!
The text thing is too annoying. It doesn't matter whether I touch a portal or is any of the bosses that do, but the game stops dead there and I am forced to press enter again and again. Besides that, being able to infinitely jump is cool! :-)
A bit too glitchy -- bosses appearing from nowhere. Events in far away rooms activated by my shooting - oh my!
Hope you get the Windows version up before the end of the judging! :(
Cheers to Zuieni for the windows build.
The height of the jump and the speed of horizontal movement really don't mesh. Art wasn't *that* bad really, clear, consistent, reasonable colour choices.
@Jonathan Whiting, I just want to help ;p and amazing that someone actually reads the comments ;)

Cool idea.
