Alone in Translation

An experiment in text entry and story telling... in an action game.

We proved a whole bunch with this -- primarily that it's impossible to use typing input as the primary mechanism to a game that involves reading text as the primary output/reward mechanism.

Going to write up a post mortem on the finer points of that later in the week at -- but suffice to say that while this didn't turn out as we thought it might, we figured out all kinds of interesting things along the way.

We used the the 2.0 beta of Cocos2d Mac, and the Component Architecture we've published previously here:

Interesting. I was surprised at how long I played it for :) I think the audio was a major component.
