How to play is written in the game.

Hi-scores are tracked server side, that PHP isn't presently included in the game source download for security reasons.

The game's source (the Stencyl project) is available at the bottom of the page.

Current Changelog:
Bug Fixes
- powerups on how-to menu fixed
- score position in game over fixed
- fixed crash when placing blocks on either side of self and wall
- enabled hack protection for a known exploit
- powerup spawn range readjusted

Balance Fixes
- f-bomb duration halved
- fbomb lifespan 0.3 seconds
- fbomb range lowered to 200%
- max pwr increased to 80
- pwr regen per second increased to 6
- block internal cooldown reduced to 5
- block pwr cost reduced to 3
- block lifespan increased to 3 seconds
- Hugg speed decreased to 10
- Orphan speed decreased to 14

Definitely the foundation for a fun game. I played on normal mode.. but it seemed like the game would degenerate into me moving from each corner of the screen over and over again (until I got the highest score, of course).

The AI could be a bit better (instead of just grouping together after the first couple of times around).

Interesting concept - I found a way in easy mode to get the highest score with patience: try to align the 4 enemies on an edge and add a block between you and them.

The fact that this kept me going until I had the high score by a mile is pretty good, but as mentioned above, the game effectively reduces to (at least on normal mode) just running around the people. If you could fix that, you would have a very good and addicting game.

Unfortunately, seems to freeze up my browser if I put too many blocks up. I definitely liked the high score feature and the variety of mechanics. As other have said though, perhaps a bit of peer playtesting would have worked out dominant strategies that might just make a lot of your features redundant and reduce your game to only one way of playing.

For some reason Google displays a "Missing plugin" error, and I had to open the swf directly: And it crashed after a while. Still, nice interpretation of the theme, and well implemented.

Yeah I knew that the game's strategy was really shallow, but I couldn't come up with any ideas for breaking it up without them feeling unfair or contrived, so I figured I'd leave it as is rather than risk lowering the game's quality.
