I wouldn't exactly call this game fun, but please read along with the story and see where I was going with this. If I had more time I think this could have been quite a well done game. Also this is my second Ludum Dare, and also my second Ludum Dare without using a pre-built physics engine. I feel that if I didn't spend all my time on the physics, I could have worked more on the animations and the combat.

I agree Jay, I totally ran out of time, and while I still think its a good story, it needs better sounds and animations, as well as interesting combat. Also I think it would take me a full weekend just to do walking animations for all the sprites, perhaps I will practice them before the next ludum dare (or stick to drawing space ships).
It is quite lacking, but it's still good to enter the compo than not at all. More practice for next time!
Well, looking at your time lapse, you did spend a lot of time on the sprites... maybe you should leave those for last, and start with simple shapes as character... a good game with squares is better than an incomplete game with nice sprites :-)

I don't think there's much to say about this - it's clearly far from a full game and that is the reasoning behind my ratings. The sprites are reasonable, but the lack of animation lets it down a lot.
