December 16th-19th 2011 :: Theme: Alone
The object of the game in Gemclusion is to combine all of the gems into one. When two gems combine they change color. The order of gems are Red, Blue, Green, Purple, Yellow, and Orange. When two gems combine they take on the color above the highest gem color. For example if a red gem combines with a green gem you will get a purple gem.
Throughout the level you will encounter different colored blocks. You can pass through them only if you are the same color. For any other color they will be a wall.

Very cool puzzle game! Don't know how you made the music, but the sounds in there are very annoying after some time (the bass drum for example).
Nice twist on this type of puzzle, and I really want a physical version so I can put those gems in my mouth.
Cool :) it's a nice mechanic, not sure how much depth it has, but well put together. The sliding of each piece was a little drawn out.
Nice puzzle game but I found it a bit easy. I wish you could add a bit more variety to the puzzles.
Thanks for the comments everyone :)
xBlinkedx: We did a unconventional take on the theme. It was an attempt to be different.
cappelnord: the sounds were made with FL Studio, but they weren't made for this game. We ran out of time to invest in the sounds.
Jeck: Thx!!
Dark Acre Jack: Hmmm ... Gemclusion the candy bits that explode in your mouth :P
binary_girl: Thx!!
Wanderlands: Figured 20 levels was all before it would be too bleh. I will look into the sliding to see what I can do.
zimorti: In our last LD we made something hard ... no one seemed to like it. We decided to go easy this time. We had several other gameplay elements that would have helped with the variety ... but had to cut them.
Very cool game. It has a lot to do with another game I was involved with over the last year. Gem merging is a cool twist on the formula.

Really nice game, good idea, great music and sound. The only thing is that it doesn't seem to fit the theme that well, the only way I can associate it is that you need to combine the orbs to become alone. But still, a great game.
