Wooohoo! Great game :) It was fun to see you working near us this weekend! We will have to gather again for next LD ^^
Really really liked the artwork and the music. The characters look superb, and the animations are really nice. It's got a fairly brutal darkness to it that I like stylistically.
In terms of fun, it wasn't really my kind of thing. I found myself just clicking on things until something happened, and I felt it took a while for everything to respond, especially given that you have to wait for the woman to walk up to an object before she'll interact with it.
Not my cup of tea in terms of gameplay, but the audio and visuals are a treat :)
Very nicely done! The graphics were phenomenal, and I found the puzzles and other gameplay to be pretty engaging. The story went from being kind of light-hearted to being really dark by the end - which felt a bit strange, but overall this is probably the best entry I've played yet. Great job!
The art and music are really fantastic, some of the best I've seen so far.
The gameplay and plot seem pretty redundant after a couple levels, it could have used a bit more depth and variation.
Still, a very solid entry!
I had some fun playing this game, well done !
Just a question, not about the game, but... Why 109 ?
I'm browsing the game list and i'm very happy to found this gem, great execution, graphics and music!! a very solid entry!!
Enjoyed it greatly, but was surprised that my expectations were subverted. I expected a more grim ending for our protagonist. Regardless, good job!
Huge thanks to all of you who played it! :)
Currently finishing an "enhanced" version with the alternate ending and a few corrections.
@LeReveur: 109 = m in the ASCII table. Why m? Secret ;)
Congratulations! I have nothing else to add. For me it's perfect.
That game is sooo nice and the music is great ! Fits the theme perfectly and the game mechanics are good, congrats!
Thanks everyone! I just added the enhanced version with the alternate ending, the credits and a few tweaks.
Ok. This is just the greatest game I've played so far. Congratulations to all of you, it's amazing!
This game is so polished, I liked the scrolling 'boss battle' mechanic, mixed with the point and click adventure style. I really enjoyed it. Nice work!
This is lovely. Graphics are cool, and the music works very well. I love it.
@Noud: I guess you're talking about Sword & Sorcery EP, by Superbrothers. Yes it was the main inspiration for the art :)
S&S:EP and Skyrim theft hack. Companion cube and Scarface.
Very well-executed point-and-clicker, a real nice modern throwback to the halcyon days gone by.
Wonderful characters, very charming. Had this been a compo entry it would have cleaned up for sure.
noone finds the Cloud's sword from FF7 ? There is also 2 matérias :p
Not a fan of this type of gameplay, but both the graphics and the score were gorgeous. Bon boulot les gars :)
Very nice little game !
And it fits in a header, totally reusable on a web site :D
Bon ok, je sors..
Reminds me a bit of mcpixel, but with a bodyguard instead of bombs. Not at all bad.
Love the art-style.
A little more situational variety/plot development would have been nice.
Agreed! we get totally noobed by the time limit, we'll do better next time :) I promise :p
Lovely graphics, albeit a bit heavy on the superbrothers inspiration! Sticking non letter characters at the front of your game name to get to the front of the listing?! ;)
For sure SuperBrother was my main inspiration (i am really fan) and it is very fast to produce.
You can also find another inspirations like Skyrim, final fantasy, Portal in this compo.
And no, we did not name this game like that to get first of the list (it change every day), at the begining we were at the end :)
The truth about "/follow" : this name is a reference to the main MMORPG command to follow another character.
Nice, the art style is great, Reminds a lot of Sword and sworcery ^^
Nice game!
At some point I just started to click everywhere like a crazy... But I managed to finish the game.
Graphics are amazing! Well Done!
Excellent in almost all cathegories (short and simple gameplay, but otherwise... excellent I say :)
Very well done! I found it very fun to play, and it was a very nice take on the theme.
MIND BLOWING. Great use of theme and the music fits the mood so well. Graphics make me jealous, which means AWESOME!
The graphics were really nice. The music was good too.
Nice little narrative for such a short game, but at times the flow of it (puzzle, alone time, rinse, repeat) felt a bit repetitive, but overall it wasn't really a problem and worked well. If you wanted to expand the game it might be interesting to add a bit of narrative development to the alone times, to make them more significant (would be a nice fix to any repetitiveness I think).
This was my favorite game art wise and sound wise. It didn't have a ton of gameplay but it had enough to make this one of my favorite games played so far.
Best. Entry. Really, easily my personal fevourite! Idea, gfx, music, mood, theme, all really great and inspiring. Graphics somehow had this cyberpunky feel to me and inpired me to start drawing/pixeling stuff right away..
Great concept, fantastic sound (love the "catch me if you can" style), nice pixel art!
It gets a little repetitive in the end, though.
Thank you all! It's really nice to have your feedback :) And, yes, the diversity in the gameplay and the depth in the story are the first things we would have worked on, given a bit more time ;) We'll keep that in mind for April ^^
Art and sound match each other pretty well. Puzzles were a bit too easy since there weren't too many interactions on each scenario. Runner sections were also simple but were a good change of pace. Also, it's nice to see the SuperBrothers pixelart style so colorful. Overall, it's a great 72h game. :)
Oh my god, this was superb. I'm glad this was a jam entry or I would feel awfully inadequate. :) The art stands out in particular. I didn't feel an in-game hint about the alternate ending though, and I started playing through again but couldn't do anything different from the first pass...
You guys have the most beautiful game logo ever. Your team really came together and shone on this one--music and art were excellent, top-notch for an LD entry.
The "action" sequences were a pretty risky design choice IMO, but I think it ended up working in the end. Yeah, you guys already know that more scenario/dialogue/narrative work would be nice, but what do you expect from an LD entry anyways? Also, I know it wasn't part of the compo, but I appreciated the addition of the alternate ending...
I loved the sense of style in this. And the little in-jokes in the background.
The gameplay was a little shallow but I did like the "small single screens, 1 challenge each" concept a lot.
Absolutely wonderful art. The best art of the entire jam. Very well done - keep up the wonderful work!
