December 16th-19th 2011 :: Theme: Alone
The goal of the game is to isolate the grumpy smiley from the singing smileys, so he can have some peace and quiet. You can isolate smileys by dragging a line between the two.
Try to aim for as few moves as possible. You can cancel an accidental stroke if you are still holding the left mouse key. In that case tap the right mouse key once to cancel.
Linux users: Run ld22-64.sh to play the game.

That was clever. I've already seen this kind of puzzles on magazines, but someone had to adapt it on video game!
I like the core mechanic and the line interface is very handy. I'm not fond of the red line ( make the solution more obvious ) or the second yellow face ( break the theme a bit ). If you want to work on this game later, here are some suggestions you (I ? ^_^) might want to test :
- Purple Head : destroy everything if they're exactly two of them in a slot
- The Gun (bonus) : If Mister yellow is with the gun and just one opponent in his cell, well... he ensure his own loneliness by himself
- Orange Head : Move to the other side of the line ( mirror position ) Note sure if you can make good levels with this one.
Very good idea! At first, I wondered why all levels are the same until I realized I clicked Retry each time...
:D
very neat concept! i think someone mentioned already having seen a variation of this in magazines/newspapers and you made it work very nice in game form.
Nice idea!
I found the drawing of the line a bit too ruff, a lot of times it was a bit hard to calibrate it exactly how I want it.
Also, in the last level, I didn't understand why some smileys turned blue when I didn't push them off any yellow smiley, but that helped me solve the game :)
Anyway, it's fun! The music is also good.
Great game! The music got repetitive after around a minute of playtime, but the game was made well overall.

Just a quick suggestion: perhaps have the links between Singing Smileys fade away instead of turning blue when they've been blocked off? They can be fairly distracting, even when they're no longer "active" but still bright blue.
Still, challenging and enjoyable game!
