December 16th-19th 2011 :: Theme: Alone
This is a slightly broken test build, as Unity crashed while trying to take a screenshot for submission, and seems to have wiped my hand-sculpted terrain data. If I can't recover it, this is all I've got :(
Now-useless source scripts/assets uploaded anyway, in case you want to try and glean anything useful from it...should work fine if you recreate the terrain under it and adjust all the heights accordingly.

Oh, we had the same idea (and the same game name). Will have to try your game to see how similar they are. I would guess not very from your screenshot.

I really feel for you losing your release build right at the end. I'd have been raging...
Still very impressed with this. Great atmosphere, and it fits nicely with the theme. The untextured graphics work well for me, and the scenery looks great, all working to build the mood.
All round a nice progression from what you did with Fireflies.
Best game so far( only one I've played too xD) great atmosphere and overall design
FEEL-GOOD GAME OF THE DECADE
Interesting little thing. I like the monochromatic asthetic, and the soudntrack fits aswell.
I think there's a bug with the boat-scale. I suppose it's supposed to be smaller.
Thanks for all your kind comments! Sorry it's a bit shonky.
mk_rules1 - yeah, I've got a proper ending scripted here that would finish the game instead of letting you run off across the sea bed, but couldn't release it due to the data loss :( Will apply SVN liberally in future!
sanojian - loved your mechanics, will rate it properly ASAP.
Matthias - yeah, the boat worked fine in the editor but went crazy in the web build. I think I know why but can't really fix it now :(
What a depressing game! Well, nice mood you managed to create. You should have made the controls in full 3d, then there could have been some exploration, it's not much fun when all you can do is go left or right.
Same with everyone else says. That bug makes it seem like the game wasn't finished. Which I'm guessing it's not?
But still the art style looked okay, maybe the character animation and movement could use some improvement.
RobProductions - Correct, this was a test build...all I was left with after the project data got corrupted. It just lacks the proper ending and a scattering of flavour text.
Good visuals and overall I thought it had a nice feel to it. I also like to keep photos of my loved ones lying on the ground in the mountains :) Too bad this is not the finished version, but I enjoyed it nonetheless.
Nailed the theme and mood, and a very well-executed 2.5D perspective.
I think the grayscale suits it. Sorry to hear about the loss of your code. What's there is very nice.
I love the contrast of the grey scale world and the bright redness of the flowers. The game as a whole has a great mood and atmosphere, but unfortunately is a bit short.
I like the music with the drums, it gives a nice mood. Reminded me of Little Big Adventure. The game itself is obviously not finished but would have potential as a story driven game I think.
Danik is sooooooo right! The music totally reminds me Little Big Adventure, which is a good thing! Is there an end ? after jumping in the boat, I just walked left like...for ever.
nice game, music reminds me of twinkle twinkle little star a little too much.
This is cool, what was the ending going to be? Just getting on the boat and leaving?
While the gameplay was lacking, I loved the art style - really nicely done. The music was simple, but effective.
