Always Alone

My main aim with this game was to tell a story, which I believe I have achieved. It's an extrapolation of feelings that I sometimes get.

Please play to the end of level 4 (it won't take long) because the vibe changes.

Tech Note: I made this in a language called Monkey which is a cross-platform language by the same people who made the Blitz3D/BlitzPlus/BlitzMax. I hadn't properly used it before, so this weekend was as much about exploring the language and making a basic engine as making a game. I even made that font from scratch! I chose the Flash export from Monkey for ease of use, but it's just as easy to make an HTML5 game, or iOS/Android game, or even PC/Mac executable.

Great game! Probably the best use of the theme I've seen so far. A nice simple mechanic executed well. The Psychotics level took forever for me to clear, hah! :)

Nice little story. I think that Limiting the number of pushes would have made it more game-y.

Hey thanks for playing everyone! Yes I tried a take on a theme that I think most of us can associate with, even if we don't go quite as far as Jim did :-)

@Dark Acre Jack: Agreed, of course I had plans for more mechanics but time ran out. Funny how that always happens in jams ;-)
