    Hollow - Connor - 48 Hour Competition Entry

    Arrow Keys to move, X to jump, and C to dive.

    Made in Flash with Flashpunk and Flashdevelop, as well as Noel Berry's "Advanced Platforming Engine."
    Other tools: BFXR, Audacity, Game Maker (sprite editor), and PXTone

    See if you can find the secret alternate route to the end :D

    That was a pretty wicked and wicked pretty game. Found that secret leprechaun cave by the way, very tricky.

    This was a beautiful game. Aside from its length, it left no indication that it was made inside 48 hours.

    Took a long time (and help of someone) to figure you could walk through the spikes without getting hurt. Nice game anyways, loved the graphics and the sound effects (music was a little repetitive), and it was fun!

    @Rolpege: I only wish I had more talent with music... I've only made a few songs before, so that was the hardest test of my skills with all this haha

    Very nicely done. I loved the dive mechanic, and the secret exit. One critique would be to have more interesting death animations for the character and enemies. It was a nice touch to get encased in the blob enemy, and I would have liked to see more of that.

    @obedientarrow: I had plans initially to have different death animations and things for all of the enemies, but time restrictions made it difficult :( I had to do the blob one though! I will probably make that change once I extend the game.

    Great game! Cool graphical style - reminds me of Miyazaki films (Nausicaa, Mononoke, etc). I love the dive mechanic too.

    Kinda hard in some places, but it just adds to the challenge. Great graphics and I like the atmosphere. All you need is to sprinkle a little text here and there to tell a story and you could easily get a sponsor for this.

    Headbutt your way to victory. Was a neat little platformer. The falling rocks sections was a bit too rough for my tastes. Otherwise excellent work.

    This one is superb. The graphics are perfect and the gameplay is pretty tight. I found the leprechaun on the second playthrough, but I think it might have been a bug because it looked like I died?
