Mostly a tech prototype, but it turned out surprisingly nice!
Use arrow keys / WASD for moving around. R for restart level. Shoot through blocks to split them.

Also it doesn't restart if you get stuck or jump a cliff. Press R to restart!
Very neat application of a concept, although I think you could have touched on the theme more. Fun, interesting, functional, and easily expandable. Loved the filter fx.
Cool idea, nice art style with the filter. Could easily be expanded into a full idea with storyline etc..
Stunning visuals!!! But did I get it wrong, or have you not created the music yourself?
Thanks, I am only using three images. The character, the gun, and the laser beam. Laser beam texture is reused for the goals because I was super lazy. Everything else is just solid colors and shaders.
I created sound effects with Bfxr and Audacity, but borrowed some background ambience sound.
Good idea but I think I have seen something like this before - not sure though. Nice visuals and good guiding.
Shouldn't the ice been cut where I cut them? Sometimes they just disappear and some little piece comes up instead. And They need to fly away if I go against them or not because sometimes they do. Also can I push them or not?
Anyway thanks for making this!
The physics were buggy sometimes (does Unity have built-in physics? I haven't used it) but this looks great and the game is fun -- it's fun enough just to cut everything up!
The 'escape' theme is sort of there... since you have to 'escape' each level... but it could be used more. And technically you shouldn't be using anyone else's audio in a compo entry, even if it is background noise.
And one miniscule bug: the jump sound plays when you hit W even if you are in the air!
Really cool! Needs a lose condition when you fall out of a level though...
A pretty cool game. Didn't really do a lot with the theme though, and cutting up the blocks didn't really feel like I was solving a puzzle, but just that I was cutting stuff up to get through it.
The final level (before the one with "END") started running really slowly by the end for some reason. Not sure what that was about, but might be a potential bug.
This is a really great use of the "cutting things with the mouse" gameplay mechanic. And it's quite pretty!
i really hope you develop this further, because this has got MAD potential. really, really fun game.

I will upload downloadable Windows and Mac builds tomorrow. The Windows build might work in Wine.
