Yay! My first Ludum Dare entry. No sound or music though, not enough time :(. You are escaping from... something along the lines of bloodthirsty sumo-wrestlers and soldiers. I had other ideas and level designs, so i guess i will make a post-LD version. Hope you enjoy!

nice man. I got stuck on the "build a tower to escape" level. Really good concept though!
Pretty cool, the building/destroying mechanic is good though I wish there were an auto-file.
Had a lot of fun with this. Collision was a bit frustrating at times due to the block size in relation to the character, but still played it to the end and enjoyed it.
Haha, major bug on the first sumo wrestler level, after each death they seem to double. Anyway, great game.
Wow I died a bunch against the sumowrestlers now they kill me as I spawn.
Really love this concept, kept getting killed by the sumo wresters though :(
Would have loved to see an auto-fire feature, as it was nearly impossible to play this without a mouse (using laptop touchpad). Level 3 kept murdering me! It feels like they kept spawning more the more I died.
Anyway, love the style and what you had going. I had fun. :D
I loved the idea. In the second level it got stuck dying because of infinite sumo-wrestlers. Funny graphics.
The sumo wrestler part was seemingly impossible and incredibly frustrating. They spawn quickly and aiming the fireballs to make a big enough space to escape is too hard.
Love the game, especially his facial expressions and the introduction of new mechanics.
Thank you everyone for the support on my first LD! I wasn't aware of the spawn-killing bug after release, sorry. It t'was some data clearing issue, and i'm sure to fix it for the post-LD release!
Neat little game, I made it through once, though the second time I got stuck at the sumo level. There seems to be a bug where if you die there, the sumos don't ever stop coming in.
Fun game & concept, although the sumo wrestlers seem way too difficult (on my trackpad anyways), and I haven't been able to get past 'em.
LIke the graphics, like the gameplay and the concept.
IF you die, the sumo's continue to spawn right on top of you making it too hard to continue. It was fun up to that point.
Graphics are nice, no sound though (or did my sound just not work)
I loved this game so much. The humour is amazing, timing of pop-up messages is spot on and with a new element each level this is an amazingly solid entry into the competition. Astonishing work.
Some more challenging ideas for levels would be welcome (by challenging I mean something other than trying to outbuild / outdig those sumo wrestlers, otherwise nice "minecraft2d". Platformer + block building and destroying was used by few other games in compo, i'd guess your version is probably best, even unpolished like this.
This is great. Especially the gag where you break out of the game-window.
And suddenly there are sumo-wrestlers (makes perfect sense)
(seriously. Remember how games were about italian plumbers taking halluzinogenic mushrooms and riding dinosaurs through pipes?)
Cool mechanic, like it. It needs polish, but overall pretty cool. Graphics are a bit minimalistic.
