Shotgun Man Will Shoot You

by kirbytails7 - 48 Hour Competition Entry

Escape from the clutches of the malevolent Shotgun Man in "Shotgun Man Will Shoot You" (now with twice the Shotgun Man)!

My first Ludum Dare is finished! Made with the Allegro library in C++. The music is all in MIDI format, so playback may be affected by your computer. All libraries and files needed to run the game with Allegro should be included.

The game randomly glitches and stops refreshing, so I can't see anything :/ Couldn't figure out how to avoid being shot either...

Yeah, couldn't play it either, sorry.

Whatever that creature is I keep wanting it to get shot.
Nice gameplay, well done for having music, but I cant say it appeals to me. Graphics are cool. A classic health system would be much better than the death condition you currently have, which is just annoying.

The title is great. Simple. Sufficient. Explains the game.

Thanks for the comments! If anyone has any details on what sorts of glitches are happening, I'd like to see what can be addressed.

The game's a bit too hard and the amount of times you need to mash escape to put on the jetpack is a bit excessive but aside from those things I like it!

Hey! very nice game, I like the drawings and music. The only thing I think I will recommend is to check the bounding box collisions or whatever you are using to detect them. You used C++ I think, right? nice work.

nice game ! Try to help the player move by autorecaling him if he's not just in front of the path. I died a lot of time just because of this.

Sadly, this doesn't work for me (Win7 64bit). Running for the first time, I got to the title screen, could hear the music (nice tune), but after that everything flickered (like, changing resolution back and forth) and the program crashed. After that, program crashed even before showing the title screen.
Gonna try on some virtual machines or my laptop later (as for now I can see your sprites and it seems like being worth checking out). :/
