BRITAIN:2027 - Sophie Houlden - Jam Entry

~~~ Controls:
Arrows = Move
Z = sprint
X = Shoot
A/S = Rotate Camera

~~~ Story:
The year is 2027, you're just a kid, but you committed a serious crime, you tried to organise a water fight on twitter. now you're in prison, and you must escape!
find your water pistol, and try to get by the bobbies!

~~~ Blah:
the game is winnable, but there's only 3 levels for now, also it's silent. I have sounds, and more ideas for levels, but I blew all my energy in the first two days and burnt out. I'll finish up whenever I feel like coming back to this.

Really cool! Love the enemy design, everything feels really solid. Didn't seem to need any stealth or planning, just kinda rushed in spraying and didn't have any trouble, but I'm sure you can address that with later levels when you continue this project.

This is great. The meachanics have a good amount of heft, the graphics are fun, and the level-layout is quite puzzly.

A downside is however the serious difficulty, but I guess all our games are in need of some days of polishing :-)

Great cartoony treatment of topical theme interpretation! Bit tricky though, felt like I won by luck rather than tactics or skill.

I like the game mechanic, although the levels definitely could be more tactical.

I think I cheated on the last level (I only bashed one of the first set of gates and the hid behind it while recharging).

Not a huge fan of the controls personally, but the gameplay was good, fun, innovative, and well done. The graphics were great, love the falling animation for the guards! PS. Can't wait to see what you have in store for Lottie's Dungeon.

I realy like how the water can both stun the cops and make them slip. Also your use of color is fantasitc. Purple is a under used color in video games, yet it makes the cops and the player very visible. This game could have used some sounds. Even simplistic synth sounds, or human noises could have added a lot to this entry.

Nicely done! That's quite a bit of Unity work to crank out in three days, and it really fits the theme perfectly. The slippery water may be a liiittle too powerful, but I imagine that more enemies and more complicated levels could change that. I'll keep an eye out for future releases of this.

Very neat, and some nice mechanics at work. Also, great take on the theme. I will say there didn't seem to be any incentive not to just charge around, because taking it slow didn't seem to give me any advantage. Nevertheless, refine this and keep working on it, as it is funny and has potential.

Very nice work! It was very short, but the gameplay was very fun while it lasted. I really like a lot of the mechanics. The graphics and animations are also quite good for a game made in 72 hours!

Nicely done, great mechanics. Rusty gates was very innovative. Very short though, I really wanted some new cool tricks with water. I guess it sort of fits the theme, but is not central though.

It was pretty short. Other than that pretty neat. The graphics are really good. The UI could use some indicators to help you keep track of the bobbies especially when they're out of your camera view.
