I didn't have nearly enough time for this, as I only worked on it for about half a day. :) I haven't missed a LD yet though (since I started) and I would be sad to submit nothing at all. So here is my game in its quite incomplete state (needs a LOT more background art, more npcs and music to make it properly interesting.)
There are bugs for sure. :( (One invisible wall I have no idea why it's there!) Please forgive me!

Interesting idea with the invisible walls (that is, if that is a feature, not a placeholder/bug :-) )
This was cute. Nostalgic a bit of finding secret places in very old Final Fantasies. At first I was annoyed that the text boxes didn't freeze enemies and they'd wail on me until I realized what was actually occurring and it made sense that I'd be getting hit while people talked at me.
Cool! I had been in the last room twice before I walked up to see the exit was in it XD
I like it, though I can't say if I beat the game, or if it's even possible. :P Nice retro graphics, and the pop-us are a nice touch. Maybe pause the game when they're active though, got bitten by a snake when I was reading them!
As you said, it needs a bit more content to add variety, but it was fun and I enjoyed the conversation over the top and the interesting characters in the dungeon.
Spent three levels in the same room before I quit. Not sure what was supposed to happen. The other comments mention other rooms and snakes.
Nice retro graphics, it's great that you could put this together so fast.
That retro graphics were cute. I spend the first level wondering what I had to do, until I escaped on the 2nd level. I've seen other entries with the same idea ;-)

Another lovely piece of work!
