Theme: It’s Dangerous to go Alone! Take this!
More Info: Ludum Dare 20 Has Begun! (Keynote), Theme Voting Results.
An aspiration to create 'it's dangerous to go alone, take this: the girl game' using both the top voted them and the lowest voted theme (which I preferred; not that the theme was terrible, mind).
Ended up focusing more on the going alone part of the theme, and probably focusing even more on the girl game theme (the 'secondary theme').
I'm mostly happy with where it ended up, though I would have liked sound and more variety in the interruptions. I might make a post jam version with some music. I'm not sure I'm entirely happy with all of the art, but I really like some of it.
[Edit] Added a small version that runs at 600x300 for people who do not have screen resolutions greater than 1200 wide. All the art was originally done for 600x300 anyways. The original version is just flixel double sizing everything. [/Edit]
[Edit] Created a post jam version with music and actual endings. [/Edit]

FFS! I just can't do it anymore!!! Very interesting but evil! I will try to come back to finish it. (glad I have a penis)
Well, this is... bizarre. It's pretty, but it doesn't make much sense.
Also, it's not quite a game, as far as I can tell.
...And the theme appears to be ignored somewhat.
Atmosphere comes through very well, as well as the feeling of frustration. Just needs some closure. And/or a way to vent said frustration.
Reminds me a bit of Every Day the Same Dream.
Really digging the art style here.
the combination of minimalist art and audio ist beautiful.
On the gameplay-side, the beginning is good, but it gets tedious and grindy quite fast.
I want to figure out what is going to happen, but it's sooo slow.
Beautifully done. Unfortunately, I'm not getting any sound for some reason, which is sad because I listened to the soundtrack and that's some really nice atmospheric music.
Martoon: I probably can't help you there, but the original LD20 jam version did not have any music. It was added in the post-jam version, so maybe it was the version you were playing.
matthias_zarzecki: Yeah, in addition to the slow movement speed and whatever, I figure I probably drag my point on for a bit too long.
Thanks for using 'girl game', which was my theme suggestion this go around on the dare. I'm amazed how much people hated / feared the idea of making a girl game!
