You must discover yourself.

by Tyranus - Competition Entry

This is my little game for LD19:Discovery. It's like a plataformer game with many character to control at the same time.
You must answer some questions to discover who are you, but to do that you must guide all yours "you" without kill them (until know who are not you).

This game I made it in about 8 hours, this is by is so short (I know is just a poor excuse).

I hope you enjoy it.

Nifty little game, nice art. Could have put in questions with a little more depth to push that self-discovery angle.

Good stuff :P

Short, but bittersweet! Nice graphics and nice idea.

I love the concept, just wish it was a little bit longer.

Seems like a great idea, discover yourself! I like the concept and the idea along the theme. The game was not very fun to play, it was very hard to keep everyone together so they didn't die off, and sometimes a question would not be displayed when I hit a ?, just the input box. I am confident this was not on purpose, because the previous question was in the background still. Poor audio, no humor, decent community and graphics. This game kicked my games butt.

Neat concept, some of the platforming was kinda tough but cool nonetheless. The first time I saw "my" response to my answers, I was a little taken aback :)

Thanks everybody for feedback :)

It's more a prototype than a game because I only worked about 8 hours :( (I Know, is just a excuse :P)
I really want to re-make this game and create something bigger.

Greetings!!

I like the mechanic :D Awesome stuff for only 8 hours!

This has brilliant game mechanics, and it really made me rethink how to play a platformer which is not an easy thing to do. The extra questions in the game affecting the other "you" movement is a really slick touch.

Interesting. Needs more depth, but very nice for an 8hr effort.

Wow, very very cool concept and art. I like how you kill of the parts of your personality, that don't fit you :-)

Kind of tricky. Also, I don't think I manage to figure out how to win. I visited all of the ? and so. Pretty neat, otherwise.

I enjoyed this. It seems like you thought carefully about how the game works - for example how some of the characters move slightly faster or slower than others, and (I think) how they slow down more once they have been revealed as an 'other'.

Killing the 'others' on spikes made me feel a little bit strange. I'm not sure what the message is there! But it was thought-provoking.

Thanks!

"But it was thought-provoking" :)

LITTLE SPOILER:
You will let die a part of you when you try to discover who you really are.

clever and enjoyable game, sadly too short

The concept is nice. Filter out the wrong "me's" by their reaction (and kill them off).
It is rather short though, but I couldn't really see how to make it last much longer unless you started with 100 of those guys.
