Awesome game! I really like what you've done with the ascii art, it gives it a nice retro-feel. Its obvious that a lot of work was put into creating storyline and content for it.
Great game! Shame about the glitch in the milkman's house - I was really enjoying it. I look forward to seeing a fixed version.
The download has been updated with a second bugfix that was causing the player to be unable to view the ending.
I've played the updated version, and I got further than the milkman's house. After I got sent to prison, I was back in the victim's house, and Gordon kept saying to foller him, but he didn't go anywhere. I was stuck in the victim's house.
Nevermind, I played it again and it was fine. Not sure if i finished it or not - I keep getting sent back to the start after being sent to prison.
I liked the style, the art was really cool.
The story kept me interested, although repeated pressing of arrows was my only big complaint, like if he walked continuously and say, shift arrow for interaction,
aside from that, i liked it. nice entry
Awesome style.
I understand the plot as being Gordon yourself. Probably completely wrong.
Really liked the art style and it fit the theme well, so overall I enjoyed your entry.
I only played through it once although it seems as though an alternate outcome is possible, if not I think it would add to the game a lot. Without an alternate ending this plays more like a visual novel with no real choice.
Overall a nice, interesting little game, had fun.
Nice work man. A full on storyline. A loooooot to read. That is actually too much for my ADD type, but it really is a lot of work you put in here.
Sadly I can not see it because there is no timelapse video of you doing it. Would have liked to see it though.
Good points on theme, on graphics, on overall a nicely done project.
Very good job on this one :)
Especially the ascii art : very well done, each character choice is just perfect !
I loved the ascii portraits for each character. Good dialog and story.
Clever and horrifying. The idea of being in a cell having been framed, endlessly replaying past events in your mind to no avail, terrifies me. That everything in the world could be looked at, however inconsequential, was excellent at giving the locations identity, and made it feel like a real investigation. That some of the apparently inconsequential things gained meaning when I looked closer at descriptions on my second playthrough made things even more wonderful. Good work.
I got stuck in the milkmans house (I think it was). While Gordon was out, I tried leaving the house and the dialog with Gordon popped up. When he got back and I talked to him he kept we were gonna check up on the local gang but nothing happened. This was on my second time through.
Awesome ASCII art. The portraits have character to them.
The portraits are very neat! Enjoyed it a lot. Nice story, nice art, nice theme correlation. Noice! [=

I couldn't get past the introduction. It's so slow to the point of being unplayable.
