Stripes is written in LOVE. So the complete game is a zipped file (we normally change the extension to .love) containing all the code, to be run by the love binary (get it from

I've also provided a working standalone Mac OS binary, and a standalone Windows binary (although there's no sound in that one, due to a Deep Bug). You can also download the soundtrack (licensed CC the same as the game, see below)!

:D have fun!

OK, this really wasn't that great.

Innovation. This comes close to being a subset of just about every game ever. Doesn't seem to have a win condition. Fortunately there is a variety of items and you can die.

It's not very fun. Fortunately the world isn't very big either.

The theme is Discovery. You basically did Exploration. You find stuff, but... ugh, sorry, I just can't rate this well at all.

Graphics are a little sloppy, but the variation helps to balance it out.

Audio is there and it works. Good job for playing for so long.

Didn't notice any humour, so N/A.

Overall... this game is quite empty.

Communitywise, you have an extensive blog with a bunch of food snaps as well as screenshots. A beta or two would have been good, though.

Well... not much of a "game"... no real objective, not even a score for the objects picked up... Totally random outcome (incliding death)... The theme and the graphics aren't bad though, good luck on the future!

I found a thylacine!

Super music.

I like that it ended as soon as I found it, I was strip-mining, so it was a good occasion to stop.

I found a camera and the cat ate it... and me too... :(

It looks interesting, however I have no desire to install LOVE. If enough other entries require it, maybe i will come back to it.

LOVE must be hard to use.

I don't know why but for some reason I did not have audio. I'm not too sure what the objective was and I kept not getting anything for a long period of time. Still, a good effort, needs improvement.

Please don't put a link with Windows if there is no binary involved. Provide a runnable binary.

Not much to say here. It's really basic, and doesn't have much of a difference in each of the objects you find.
