    Andrew The Angry Salmon - T8000 - Competition Entry

    Andrew The Angry Salmon is a puzzle platformer. Adrew shoots rockets with his dual bazookas. Aim your rockets to nuclear Jellos to explode the wobblers so sky high.

    Use arrows to move and jump, X will shoot and R will reset the map. I tried to compose some tracks for the game but they came out so horrible that i didn't want to implement them. :S

    Nice puzzles, made me think but weren't too hard, one of the games I've actually beaten so far. Art is fantastic and sound effects were well implemented.

    I really love this little game you've put together, not entirely sure on if the boom image fits with the style of the game though, but this is one of my favourite games of LD, it looks great, and the puzzles are well thought out, love it!

    I enjoyed the game, the only thing I thought was unusual was to have unlimited shots since it is essentially a puzzler I would expect some limit. I did solve a few puzzle more through quick reflexes than brainpower. Overall quite good but a bit jarring how the game quits when you win the entire thing, maybe drop back to a menu or show an outro of some sort.

    The art is great, and the game is quite fun, a nice mix of puzzle and twitch. I'm not really convinced this really fits the theme.

    But seriously, port it to flash and stick it on Kongregate. Certainly a game I'd recommend to others.

    Quanrian, yeah i was not too proud of some of the designs in the maps. Like the one you have to run as much as you can and trying to hit the falling jello. :P

    Tenjou, ill probably port the game for android phones if i've got enough time. :o

    5-stars on graphics. Looks gorgeous. It was a bit tedious for me, though. Really hard to see the connection to the theme.

    Nice sound, would have liked to hear your music =)

    I would be very interested to know.

    Oh yeah for the music i need to learn a tracker composer program for the next ludum compo to make some neat chip beats. :P

    I didn't really like the timing-based puzzles. I'd prefer it if your only important decision was what to do next, not when to do it.

    For some reason the squares don't always fall straight down. Also, since you can move while they're moving, it's possible to walk under a falling one and get stuck.

    I like the fish graphic (though why does he shoot such a big rocket?), and I think you've got a pretty good idea going here.

    Thanks for the feedback Alan! I really appreciate it. Yeah some of the puzzles were not that good, for the first timing puzzle i think it was allright but the second one was not fun.

    Oh the rocket thing it was supposed to be like that. :)

    Making all the other games look shabby :(

    Plenty of levels, considering the time limit, but keep to the turn-based (you can't move/fire while the game is resolving effects) rather than real-time puzzles.

    A very nice entry - probably the best-looking I've played so far! I just don't feel it adhered to the theme very well...

    The levels got a bit repetitive and boring for me towards the end and I also got stuck in blocks that didn't fall straight down a few times - forcing a R.

    Having to set off a big bomb to win reminded me of Carmageddon TDR 2000 :P!

    Fun puzzle game. The graphics are fantastic. I didn't quite get the connection to the theme though. I didn't really even see any enemies in the game. Regardless, the game is fun, and I didn't even get all the way to the end yet. Liked what I saw so far though.
