Psi Keepers - XMunkki - Competition Entry

Introduction
------------
In PSI keepers you control a special PSI powered unit with the arrow keys
(or WASD). There will be many suicide bombers trying to run into you and
kill you. Move out of their way and target them with the mouse. Once
targeted, press and hold the left mouse button down to assume control of
one of the bombers. The bomber moves to where the mouse cursor is, so
move the bomber against another bomber, so they both explode. Try to
survive as long as possible

Fun stuff! I'd say this captures the essence of the theme extremely well. At first I was hoping for more variation, but once I realized the strategy involved it got a lot more interesting... good job!

I'm not sure if I managed to figure out the aforementioned strategy, but it was a nicely implemented game. I do wish explosions took out all nearby bombers instead of just the target. When my score got up around the 150 mark, I simply couldn't click fast enough to take out all the bombers.

However, the game sits well with the theme, and the graphics were nice. Well done!

I thoroughly enjoyed this game. It wasn't particularly expansive on gameplay, it has a strong concept that fits the theme well. I just wish the explosions had some area of effect, since you can only kill one at a time!

Muutaman erilaisen mörön vielä tehny ni ois ollu aikas kova peli. Muuten kyllä teeman mukainen ja toimiva idea, pelikin pyöri ongelmitta eikä bugaillu mitään. Good job!

I wasn't sure from the name and description of it, but after playing it I love it, it's really addictive and fits the theme really well :)

Only thing I will pick on is the sfx were slightly annoying, but still bearable.

I wasn't sure about this game based on the screen shot, but after playing it, I like it. I would like to see you add waves in the game so the player can rest in between and have new enemy types show up later as the game progresses (which I'm sure you probably would've done if not for the time limit)

Good simple fun, definitely one of the more enjoyable entries I've played so far. The concept is simple and effective, the graphics look nice when they're all moving, and having a huge swarm of enemies following me was great fun. You should add some Benny Hill music in your next version :P

I'm not sure I got the strategy element of it though, and I felt it could do with more variation too. Maybe some more enemy types, or some power-ups, or some way to chain combos together. But what you already have is already good solid and polished fun. Nice stuff!!

It's entertaining and well made, good job. It would have been nice if there was a blast radius though because even though I knew there wasn't I kept instinctively sending the bombers to very crowded areas which was totally the wrong strategy... Far better to pick off the stragglers. Would have easily won counter-intuitive! :)

This is pretty visually polished. I particularly like the lighting effect.

Oh, and I like the way there's a special effect when we get a game over, that's a nice touch.

I wonder if I missed something on the strategy front- I messed around a bit, but I never could get any multiple kills or chain reactions or anything. It seems that each controlled bomber can only take out exactly one target. Am I missing something?

Hehe! First game I've seen that has a similar game-play to my own entry, so that has to be good. Hmm, but on the other hand, it isn't exactly the same as mine, so perhaps I should mark it down? :P

Good use of the theme, but the game-play was very limited. Could have done with obstacles, perhaps, to make the map a bit less open. As people have said, catching multiple bombers in the explosions would have helped a lot.

The lighting effect, though simple, did add something to the game. I felt I was being chased by villagers with pitchforks and burning brands!

Would have liked it if I the explosions had a bigger radius so I could take out multiple enemies.

Fun game. I wish the bombers blew up in chains so I could nail big bunches of them at the same time. Of course that's what gets you in the end. You just can't quite handle them all.

A fun game with a very good difficulty curve. It's possible (at least for a while) to play simply by standing still, only distracting the bombers. Maybe you should add a multiplier or some incentive for people to do that? :)
