The control scheme was fun and unique, but as an actual game it just didn't work out remarkably well.

triplefox says ...

I like the controls, but I'm not an average player(an average player, based on everything I've observed, wants stick-up-the-ass responsiveness to their directions at all times). I was sad when I started noticing the levels repeating :(

smn says ...

The control scheme rules, also the leviathan is really well done, looking great. Gotta agree with triplefox in terms of level repetition tho

snowyowl says ...

Fun to play with the controls, difficult to precisely steer into the fishies (it's more suited to speed than manoeuvrability really). And I was vaguely disappointed by the lack of a "you win!" screen.

Loved the idea of controlling the snake like this! It was pretty challenging to actually catch any of the fish, though :)

The tune was cool.

ToadieTechnika says ...

Its a good game... Levels can be a bit repetitive, but the game has a good music...

Hempuli says ...

As others have said, there's not much to play here, but the control scheme is definitely cool! I'd love to see this used somewhere.

rik says ...

I really enjoyed the control scheme here, unique and well coded! The rest of the game, well there isn't much else, but it was quite fun anyway!

Draknek says ...

I like that you tried a strange control scheme, but I don't like the control scheme itself: too frustrating.

Graphics are neat but his tail seems to disappear in bite-size chunks rather than actually moving.

jplur says ...

yeah great controlls, just wish there was a timer or some sort of lose condition

KavuDX says ...

I enjoyed the game, but wished to have some kind of challenge added to it, like hiting an island or yourself would hurt you or end the game.
Other than that it was actually fun.
Also, what was that on level 3? I could only recognize a ladder and some kind of sea monkey

brandoncash says ...

Didn't like the control scheme at first, but after a while it was not so bad - that being said, it's definitely innovative, and realistic to how a sea serpent moves.

increpare says ...

I love the control system!

shaktool says ...

Haha, this game is simultaneously aggravating and endearing.

(Also disappointed when levels started repeating.)

Jonathan Whiting says ...

The movement mechanic is fantastic, but very unsuited to the precision collection that makes up the goal of the game. Used in something with a more relaxed goal this could be beautiful.

refrag says ...

Love the control scheme!

SonnyBone says ...

Yeah, I dug the control mechanics. I agree with the person that said this would work very well in a more relaxed game.

Sophie Houlden says ...

quite nifty control idea, but the music grated on me soooooo bad D:

I have no idea why so many people reviewed your game, but looks like I'm adding to the pile. I thought the control scheme was interesting, and was never sure whether I liked it or disliked it. I think that overall it just could have used a bit more work. I would feel like I was just steering my snake until I wanted to go in a particular direction and he'd stop, and it would always take me a moment to realize why. The back-and-forth movement of the arrows to make him move was not required and so 80% of the time it would feel like "normal" controls, only to make the other 20% just not work. The gameplay itself is kind of interesting but not particularly exciting. The only reason to go on that I could think of was to see new backgrounds. A good effort, overall, and something that definitely might be work continuing work on.

Endurion says ...

The controls are different, good take on that. The gameplay itself is not too grabbing, but still fun for a while.

Love the Donkey Kong screen ;)

Interesting controls, quite fun to play around with once you get the hang of it. The environment is a bit bland though.
I kept thinking it would be cool to be able to trap fish with your tail...

Entar says ...

Cool leviathan. The controls take some getting used to, but after a minute the game felt surprisingly natural. Unfortunately, it got a bit old before long.

sfernald says ...

I loved the control scheme. Very inventive.

pekuja says ...

Cool swimming mechanic! I wish there was more to do, more levels and an actual ending. There's a lot more potential here.

Tozy says ...

If the camera was relative to the the head of the snake it would be... difeent.
I dont know, i like it this way too.

dertom says ...

Nice, I liked this game! And ate hundrets of fishes :D

Rolf says ...

Timelapse music is awesome.

eli says ...

Excellent controls, it became quite natural after a few levels (even though it remained challenging to catch a particular fish in open water). Game lacks negative feedback as a tension mechanism, feels unfinished from a goals/development standpoint.

The tail was interesting to look at, music was fitting for the "baby" concept. Loved the smooth feel. Has great potential to be a super fun arcade style game.

Geti says ...

3.5 up overall. I got a few graphical glitches with the tail but regardless, well executed concept. I was kind of disappointed when my tail didn't kill me but whatever, fun.
