The Tomb - Ludum Dare 22nd Competition Entry:

You awaken in your tomb. You're immortal, but you are alone.
Explore your own huge tomb and try to put an end to your loneliness.

pretty well polished, although sound and a sense of momentum would have been nice. knowing what exactly I was trying to do would have made me more motivated to keep playing.

Thanks for the advice moosh and Rijida. It's completely true. The game starts too slow and the first exploring part gets too long if you don't know what to do.
I'm working on a more polished version right now and I'll make sure to apply all your feedback. ;)

Yeah, it really needs some sound to push it along. The start is definitely slow but it's hard to nail things like timing and progression with little play testing.

graphics are lovely, but the game is frustrating. No sense of orientation progression. Perhaps a minimap showing areas you've already explored would have helped.

Good graphics, nice use of the theme, but I lost my interest in endlessly wandering without a clear goal, so I just gave up. Sounds would've been nice, too.

I like the variety of the multiple areas of the tomb, but no sound or a challenge other than platforming skills to find the soul pieces was a real killer. I lost interest after 10 minutes.

worked well under WINE (generally GM games dont run due to sound problems, so strangely your lack of sound made it stable)

cool but super hard to see, i didnt even see things i was picking up when i picked them up, i grabbed them by random chance.

I really liked this, and wanted to finish it, but didn't. After hitting a switched that told me I moved something, and being unable to remember anything I had seen that might have moved, I couldn't bring myself to wander through the entire tomb again looking for it (though I do remember something I hadn't thought to check now, but I'd have to start over again).

There was a nice variety of environments to explore, but it might have been nice to have a few more features to them.

Would have been really nice with a bit of sound.

Making this game in such a short time has been a great experience and reading your feedback has taught me a good deal of things!
I'll upload a new version to my site in the future and hopefully with all those issues fixed!
Demonpants, sorry but no Unix version. :(
