December 16th-19th 2011 :: Theme: Alone
An adventure game where you need to help a tiny rotery bot to freedom, from junk to starlight! :P
Instructions:
Arrow keys to rotate bot, up key to jump and space to shoot!
You can move the character sideways while in air using
left and right arrow keys.
My first Ludum Dare and it was AWESOME! Thanks a lot to everyone who participated and made this a great experience for everyone involved!
Too bad I didnt get to finish that boss in the end.
There are still some bugs left. For example, enemie mines
dont seem to react when you shoot at them, but shoot enough
and they will die.
Well, next time! :D
Cheers everyone!

@ TehWut- Thanks man! Could you please post if it works better and which what video card you are running it?
@ matt9837 - Oh, thats disheartening to hear. Sadly I didnt have time to optimize it.
I heard that we can change the game if there are technical problems, does anyone know anything about this? Or whom should I email? :P
had no performance issues here, and i'm running on an eee pc. very impressive for your first dare, congrats!
Not bad for a first game but feels as if you didn't finish in time and this makes it feel less whole.
Very nice Graphics and good sounds. The controls seem samewhat tricky, I wish they were smoother.
Impressed by the scale and construction of the level. A lot of content.
The controls/movement was a bit painful. Not really sure that there was any point at all in the mines and shots, I think the game would have been better served without them.
Take that you non functioning fiend!
Graphics are great and the sound fit.
Controls are a little awkward. The jump was on key release instead of on key down. Also I wasn't sure if the if the mines were hurting me. If they were I didn't have enough of an indication.
The ending is funny.
@ bostelk - Thanks man! I started thinking I really messed that part up.
@ Skullduggery_sa - Thanks! Yeah, sadly I mistakely thought that I had developed the controls to where I wanted them so I then turned to work on graphics, only later that I realized that with the level being more complex the controls had to be revised. But that was really late(Like 2 hours before submission due).
@ Jonathan Whiting - Thanks buddy. Really? Hmm thats a direction I didnt really consider as it would seem like you'd just be wondering around.
@ VonZippenstein - Lol! Glad you liked it! Too bad I didnt have time to flash him out, could have been a wicked boss battle heh. Thats a good point with the jump key. For some reason it didnt occur to me when developing/playtesting.
Gonna release a timelapse and create a Post-Mortem about this whole experience, stay tuned ;P
@ Balooga03 - Thanks dude! Glad you liked it. Yeah, thats the part that bugs me. Well, I'll remember to nail that part first and not move a single step further until thats done for LD23!
Awesome. Sound and graphics are amazing. Collision detection is a little bit triky.
Worked great for me here. Loved everything except the jump sound effect, broke the atmosphere just a little for me. Killed the boss and made the world safe and felt pretty good about myself

It appears quite intensive, I can barely get a few FPS on my pc. But I will try it later tonight when I have acess to my rig. Stay posted though ;) the graphics are also really nice.
