Run Away

Run away is a die and retry platform game.
You can't totaly control the main character because he is to scared to stop running.

I hope you will have fun playing the 5 levels and defeating the boss to the loneliness quest.
Two world to cross and foes to dodge, can you do it?

That was a really fun little game :-). It really demonstrates well how good it can be to stick with simple mechanics and focus your time on level design (which is what I assume you did!).

I've made a Windows Phone 7 version but I need to optimize my code for the foes because they need to much time to update.

Clever gameplay, good level design. Reminds me of a masochistic Tiny Hawk.

Definitely put this out on mobile, maybe slow it down a tad. With cleaned up graphics this would also be better than a lot of the XBLIG games too.

Sorry, wasn't sure how to run it so I didn't get to play. I tried doing something and I got some boxes in French or something...

@SparkCloud: Ok so you need to install XNA redistribuable 4.0 :
And it might be French indeed :p

I didn't had a lot of time to work on it but I hope next week after the new year I will be able to do all this:
1- Find some time
2- Improve the graphics
3- Optimize and organize my code to make it more efficient.

Nice game, and I like that we can't really control the running direction and the special collectibles. That said, the delay between jumps is too frustrating -- in these "you miss you die" game, controls have to be pretty precise. I gave up on the last part of the first hell level, because I couldn't jump twice in a row due to the jumping delays.

I admit it this one is the reflexion of the world (Hell) but friends who played it crossed this passage after few tries.

Cool concept, but the level with the spikes is pretty annoying (you respawn so quickly!)
