December 16th-19th 2011 :: Theme: Alone
This is my first Ludum Dare.
The game is supposed to take you to a strange trip on your computer.
I made it with Construct 2.
The file that I can share with you is slow so I recommend to play the Web version with Firefox.
To launch mac, win or linux version, once downloaded just open the "index.html".
If you can't play the game here's a video of the full game:

For me your game does not seem to work properly. The fence is always "following" me (Safari). And Firefox completely refuses to show anything but a black screen. I have MacOSX Lion
Yeah I noticed a lot of problems. When I test it inside Construct 2 it works perfectly but I am unable to get decent builds from C2... I'll ask on the C2 forums to get more advices on that.
Here's a video (without sound and with graphical problems, from the recorder)

Sorry that your computer broke :)
I had some nasty performance issues, and there are some bugs. The game didn't have much in terms of gameplay, but the graphics were good and it was true to the theme.
I couldn't get the game to run. My browser would crash after the introductory text :-(
The introductory text should be skipable; it is too slow. On my computer the player moves weird: when I change directions is move regular one or two seconds, but then it starts to move in jerks and slowly which makes the game unenjoyable. The music is good, but gets old after a while.
The graphics & music was good, but the game felt a bit easy to me.
After I got through the top gate, I found myself walking around a black screen. Not sure if this was intentional or not... But I got confused.
The graphics and mood were great on the first level though. Just needs less saxophone :)
The intro text is really, really slow, and the music is very unfitting. Otherwise I think the graphics are nice. This reminded me of the creepy Yume Nikki...
Game worked fine for me (web version).
Unfortunately I found this to be really boring and kind of tedious to play, so I didn't get very far. You walk SO slowly... I screwed up on the second gate too many times and quit because I was tired of walking around.
Graphics and mood are pretty cool, but it could have used some more contrast in the color scheme.
Music got annoying after enough repetitions.
Nice art! Try for better gameplay next time ;) And your intro could use some work as well.
I was unable to rate the game, as it crashed. I was running it on Google Chrome on Windows 7 64 bit.
Welcome to LD :-) congrats on finishing. The art was nice, music was good but got boring after a while. Game was also quite easy and had some technical problems ( I walked outside of the map once and it ran slow at times ) good effort though!
Pretty good, but there were two huge problems that stopped me from enjoying what appears to be a great game. The first was the massive novel that I was forced to read at one sentence per hour (okay that's an exaggeration :-P) upon opening. I've got 700 games to play, man! Let me actually play your game? Show that text while I can move around if you really need it. The second was lag. The game went incredibly slowly, the guy twitching along painfully with each movement. I have quite a fast computer, but perhaps it was an incompatibility? Mac OS X Safari.

Unfortunately, the game crashed when I reached the north gate.
Otherwise, nice atmosphere.
