December 16th-19th 2011 :: Theme: Alone
This is my second LD48 and first time for submitting! Things came together much better with the limited time I had.
Wasn't able to compete properly for the first 48 hours but I had the jam day to get this much done -- thanks for playing!
PS. If you can't get the applet to work in your browser, here is the directly runnable jar:

Yes, this could become a game with some work... and lots of magic. :)
But seriously I need to click 20 times to get the game to react?
The hitbox for the shirts is currently off to the right a little, will make a fix soon. Thanks for playing! I wasn't able to participate in the first 48 hours but I had the jam day to get this much done.
I hope this game was supposed to be funny, because I thought it was pretty hilarious xD (trying to avoid saying "it's funny cuz it's true hahaha" even though that is exactly what I mean)
I got a black screen after the first level too though, too bad.
Easily the best implementation of the theme I've seen this far, haha. This is so much my life right here.
This may be one of the most realistic simulations I've played all year. Perfectly described my life.
Had to place the gabriola.png in the root folder of the jar to make it work. Otherwise I get the following exception.

Maybe you used "gabriola.png" instead of "data/gabriola.png" as image path?
Excellent take on the theme. Too bad it is so short and also a bit lacking in the art department.
The gabriola.png error was due to path separator issues, I've fixed them and reuploaded a directly runnable .jar which contains all resources.
Genious idea theme wise, a bit lacking towards gameplay (don't think you can lose?), but who's game doesn't.
It's a shame that this is only one level, as I was expecting it to be something of a Warioware style 'monotonous tasks' simulator with a bunch of different mini-games about random stuff, but I guess that time limit is a killer.
The music and sound was well done, but I would have liked some more specific instructions (I had no idea where to find the soap, so maybe if you placed a picture of it beside the instruction then it would help).
It was an interesting idea let down by the lack of additional levels.
Funny. The music added a lot to the weird tone of the game. I wish there was more.
Didn't really tickle my funny bone or entertain. Were I to comment on it on a game, the lack of instructions like 'press any key' on the initial screen and mismatch between the 'readme' and actual 'gameplay' was somewhat frustrating to me. Maybe I'm in the wrong frame of mind for this.
I played this game 3 times, always reloading the webpage, because I didn't get it. Is the final score always the same?
Although the title points to a good idea for an "Alone" game, I didn't feel a purpose while playing it! Maybe this isn't my piece of cake.
Anyway I liked the fact that there is sound and the notepad instruction board. =)
I was expecting more levels...But the idea makes me smile and the music is great and give the game that little something...
Huh.
I actually quite enjoyed this. The game got a chuckle out of me.
Might have been nice to see where you could have gotten this idea with the whole weekend to work on it. As it is I think I would have preferred it without the bogus 'order full version' second level. It would have felt even lonelier that way.
The concept is good, but kind of boring to me. I also got a game over at the second screen and couldn't do anything else.

This has the potential to be a good game. Keep up the good work. :)
