Ok well here’s my final entry. It’s not really playable but it kind of works. Not too bad since I only started this morning. I think this could be a fun idea if I keep working on it…

I've been participating in LudumDare since LD#1 way back in 2002! I've worked in Visual Effects & Animation (ILM, Tippett, Disney), in Game Dev (EA), and am now working at Smule making mobile musical experiences.
I started Tapnik (www.tapnik.com) as a side project and hobby business, and have released several apps and games: The Brainstormer, Droppyship, Planet Minesweeper, and More!

The code (it's quite a mess) for all of these can be found at my ludumdare code dump on github:

Also, I made a game engine (mostly for iPhone, supports desktop GL with some hacking):
https://github.com/joeld42/luddite
It's terribly incomplete, buggy and totally undocumented. Don't use it! But I built Droppyship with it in a week or two so it can't be all bad, I guess...

Did not start :/
Nothing at all. What a slacker!
wow i wanted to see how this one was gonna turn out! i'm sad -_-
nice effort for the late start
Not really complete enough to last, long but still, I'd love to see this get somewhere. Needs quite a bi of work though.
Doesn't work.
"Unable to set 320x200 graphic mode
Can not set video mode"
I've given you n/a's to be nice :)
Quite unfinished, but physics aren't an easy beast to tackle. Love the gfx!
Yeah, what Fydo said.
I managed to fall through the floor into a grey void within the first couple of seconds I played. On my second run I had a healthy stroll across some spikes and defied the laws of physics with my grapple thing.
So, er, yeah. As you say yourself this isn't really complete at all. It's a good idea though (if not entirely original), and could be a good game with some more work.
Fresh take on the chain reactions theme =), though I only saw a 'chain' and not many reactions..
Too bad it wasn't finished. The game would have been a neat game.
No game in there. Liked the look.
Same problem with res as fydo and hamumu.
The collision detection was pretty.. lousy :), I even managed, as have been mentioned in other comments, to fall through the floor a couple of times.
The chain looks cool though I did'nt figure out how to use it for anything cool :)
Obviously there's not much here. I think I see where you were going, though.
Promising start. Id like to play the post compo version.
I couldn't run this game, it tries to set my monitor to an unsupported mode.
why is this guy grappling with a sperm?
It shows alot of promise, but nothing in it feels complete, even the run cycle looks like it will be good in time, is not quite there yet.
I'd like to play it when it gets closer to being a game :)

I can run around and jump… still some glitches with the jumping but it’s kind of working. But I don’t think Im going to have something playable in.. what is it.. less than six hours?
I has a sprite. He’s kind of inspired by megaman.
Well, I wasn’t able to work on ludumdare yesterday, so this will be a “mini-compo” for me. I’m just getting started now, with about 10 hours remaining. And here is my breakfast, english muffins with jam and coffee.
