No plans this weekend, So I guess I’m in. I’ll be working with a friend to make a game for this.

We’ll be using:

  • Game Maker Studio
  • Aseprite
  • FamiTracker
  • Bfxr

Never actually made a game or joined a game jam but I’ve tinkered with Game Maker for a while now.

50_percent_preview


Made a lot of improvements to Arc (LD 34 Inspired Game) these last couple of weeks. Menu navigation is better, the Progression for Classic Mode is improved (everything’s faster), Ability to Unlock Classic Difficulties, Spectate Mode, where you just watch the game play by itself, and saved highscores! Be sure to check it out! c:

What’s next: More Juice in Classic Mode, Blind Mode, Nucleus Mode (?), Port to Mobile, and some more stuff I’ll think of along the way. c:

We Just Released Our Ludum Dare Game on App Store!

In the last Ludum Dare we made a small snowball rolling simulator called Super Snowball Roller Mayhem 3000. Now we have decided to release a mobile, enhanced version of the game: SUPREME Snowball Roller Mayhem 3000!

While the core gameplay is pretty much the same as in the original LD version, we did some polishing and added a few new features to the game. It turned out the ‘two button controls’ theme made the transition from PC to mobile pretty easy.

It’s of course free, but we do show a small video ad every now and then to earn some lunch money.

Mini LD 65: The ugly bunny POST MORTEM

This was one of the first times I have used Unity to make a 3d game rather than a 2d game and I am very happy with the result. I had never used Unity Terrain before and I am quite happy with how the map looks. Despite having very limited time with real life commitments and even posting the game a day late O_o, I am very happy with the gameplay and I think most people should be able to have a good 5 minutes of fun.

Unity Asset Store

Anyone that uses Unity knows how useful the Asset Store is. Recently I’ve made a few packages and submitted it to the asset store just to see what happens. Surprisingly, they’re not doing too bad! I currently have 2 packages on the Asset Store.

MiniLD 65: N-Zero

A little late, but my entry for the Mini LD 65 is finally finished (I uploaded a near finished version yesterday but today I fixed some more bugs and put the finishing touches on the game)!

It’s a platformer game that is both atmospheric and challenging. The mechanics are inspired by an obscure game I remember from my youth. (or was it childhood? Oh well, too late, the game is already done :P)

If you’re wondering whether you should check this out, I uploaded a gameplay video playing through the whole game, containing spoilers obviously. I hope some people can play this even though I overshot the deadline by a few days, I spent quite a bit of time on this game, and the last days helped me to add some neat ambient sound and a very big map (300 * 150 tiles) which both really add up to the game.

Throw back to LD #29 where we were set the theme “Beneath The Surface”. With an earlier idea I had I began working on the core of the game which eventually turned in to a Kongregate hit. The feedback was so greatly appreciated I got my s**t together and turned it in to what I believe is now a full short experience.
