Friday, July 28th, 2017 1:53 pm

Hello everyone!

I’m looking to participate in Ludum Dare 39 and this time hoping to gather a team to work with hopefully over discord, as for me I am a programmer (primarily C# and C++) I will most likely be using either Unity or SDL to create the game (and maybe some other libraries thrown on top).

If you’d like to see my previous work head over to:

If you’d like to get in contact with me add me on discord at:  Wicked#3867

Thanks in advance

Hi everyone! It will be my 6th LD in a row!

I’m looking for partners for this edition. I can make graphics or/and music.

Feel free to contact me !

Mail : cemailestcool(a)gmail(dot)com

Good luck to everyone!

So it has been awhile. We are working very hard on our first commercial release. That is why we would not be able to join the LD JAM this time around.

The game is set for release early October this year. We can’t wait for you guys to try it out.

Here is a picture of “the behind the scenes”.  See you soon.

Hi all, i decide to join this LD but with new challenge. In Jam’s before I was doing some games in Android but for this LD I want to do it with JavaScript. I think it’s a good opportunity to know other language to do games

My question is, Is there any team who is going to do a game in javaScript and have a place for me or if not, any recommendation about a starting point, libraries, tools, blog posts, etc..

Thanks in advance.

First gamejam and first time developer

Wednesday, July 26th, 2017 4:21 am

I‘m a new developer and I’m looking forward to the Ludum Dare event that’s coming up! It’ll be interesting to put all my knowledge together to make a game in a set time, I have high hopes that I(and if my Team decides to join in) will hopefully make one within’ said time period!

Not long ago I was looking at things like this and got really jealous that I couldn’t do it as I knew nothing about programming, only took 3 months and I’m intermediate at it (C# and Javascript, I do know HTML and a small bit of Python, also Ruby and C++).

I look forward to trying out the games that get submitted and I hope you guys will also check out my submission when the time comes.

It’s nice to see developers from around the Globe come to one place and chill out.

Mini LD anyone?

Okay, so we were supposed to arrange a little local jam in which people would gather in one place and we all would have participated in Ludum Dare 39, just to gather people and socialise with fellow game makers, have fun and the same time take part to the LD. The problem is, we were suppose to have it in the end of august, in which we thought the Ludum Dare 39 would be this time, but suddenly we found out its month early, and we just couldn’t cope with that! But we would still want to arrange jam in the end of august. Sooooo…

Is anyone having/going to arrange a mini LD anywhere near the time the real LD was suppose to be? If you are, please let me know, then we could gladly join to it too 😀

If no ones going to already arrange one, then, would there be anyone interested to join mini LD if we arranged it? It would be at the end of august, when i think most of people thought the real LD would be, and it would probably be 48 hours jam like the real LD is. We could come up the theme and all, but before we start anything, we would like to know if people would take part to it if we arranged the thing.

If anyones interested to take part on a mini LD, please comment here so we know how many would be up to it 😀 or if you have any ideas or opinions, let us know.

Hello, people!

My name is Marcus Vinicius and I’m a Brazilian who studied English and Spanish.

I’d like to join who wants to translate a game to Brazilian Portuguese.

Strong hugs!

When will be the LD 39 ?

I’m a young french developer and i never finish my games because I always start new projects before finishing older ones, lack of motivation.

But a 48H jam like the LD will help me a lot !

I am currently looking for a good game designer to collaborate with on an on-going mobile game development. If you are familiar with Shooty Skies then you have a good idea of what I am looking for.  If you have good game design skills for top down shooters then drop me a line on please.

This is a top-down fast-paced puzzle game with a bit of a story arc. You’re a guy trying to avoid the evergrowing darkness and complete each level / part of life as fast as possible.

Space Honey: The adventure of little-bee (COMPO ENTRY)

I hope I posted correctly on the new ludumdare site..

At first I was (as always) with problems with the chosen theme. (Not knowing how to get out of the cliche).

I really enjoyed doing this game because i get out for my comfort zone. I’ve never done a graviade system like this, and usually my games are full of screen shake, and dash killing something.

I would also like to thank my girlfriend for helping me with the idea of the game, and for the sake of comprehension, because I used a weekend that I would spend with her to spend in front of my computer. :p

I do not understand how the game will be played, but if you want, you can go play and comment.
If anything comes later for the vote, I ask you to also vote. 😀

The game was very casual (for now), all you have to do is go to the planets, pick up the nectar from the flowers, and deliver to your hive. Among the planets, some bees that steal honey are flying from one side to another, you need to divert them so you do not lose the honey you are carrying.

Later, in a pos jam version, I will implement some things to attack other bees.

Unfortunately I could not produce any music in time. I’ll post a post-jam version later. =/
