Did a lot of good work today. The game loop is complete and things are looking decent.
Tomorrow is all about sounds, polish and playtest.
I’ll be great.

Hey guys! This is my 3rd Ludum Dare, yay!
I hope everyone have a good time. Specially newcomers (don’t sweat it too much, you’ll be fine).
Tools:
Well… This one was great.
At first I wasn’t sure I would even be able to participate because one of my best friends was graduating from college and most of the weekend was already saved up for that.
I set a goal to make a game in less than 24 hours so I could go to the party and have fun without thinking about LD during the whole thing.
And I did it! I’m very happy. Now I can sleep in peace.
Best of luck to all of you who are still working hard on your games! Cheers!
I’m a few hours late, but hey, here I am.
Let’s do this!
Tools:
A pen and my old notebook (for brainstorming purposes)
Unity 3D
Photoshop
BFXR
Abundant-Music.com (a very cool music generator I just found out about yesterday)
Audacity
Aaaaaand that’s it. Good luck to everyone! Let’s make some games!
My game is done!!!! Fuuuuuuuckk yeeeeee- well, there’s still sound effects, music and some polishing to do… so I would say it’s not 100%, hehehe. But! All the menus, stages and stuff are there. I dare say that’s enough reason to be happy. I need a little break. Like an hour or so. And food. Food is good n’ tasty.
So, I decided to make a platformer. Why? Well… Because I never made one before (*_*). Not with gravity at least. The theme will be conveyed mainly through narrative. It’s going quite well. I hope to finish a rough version by tomorrow night. If everything goes my way, sunday will be only for polishing (which would be awesome).
Hey guys! This is my first Ludum Dare.
I’ve been an indie dev for a year now and oohhhh boy what a fucking ride. Sometimes I wanna quit, sometimes I wanna hug the whole world, but most of the time I’m just enjoying myself. That and learning a hell of a lot. Which brings me to Ludum Dare.
My goal is to learn how to make better games faster, and I can’t think of a more appropriate way.
Ohh yeah, about tools:
Engine: Unity3D
Graphics: Photoshop, Gimp, Paint
Sound Effects: bfxr, sfxr, audacity
Music: if present, will be made in some of the tools sugested “/tools”
Let’s do this!
