These last two days, I think I’ve been sleeping for… 24 hours maybe. Half of my time was to regenerate my brain from the Ludum Dare.

But don’t worry, the Schrödinger Team loved the experience! We had a lot of fun by making this WTF game! By the way, we were a large team. At least 6, but one day we were 9 (!) around the table coding, testing, designing, drawing, translating…

Working in a “big” team allows in the same time to have a fast work and a slow work. Fast, because we can do more. Slow, because everyone has to approve new ideas. That’s why we needed about 3 hours to agree with the initial idea of the game, after decades of other suggestions.

Brainstormings don’t work everytime.

When we got the idea, our new goal was to make a prototype. Prototypes are essential to balance the gameplay. Unfortunately, we needed 36 hours to make our first digital prototype. During all this time, game designers made a paper prototype, something like that:

Finally, the game we made didn’t integrate all features that we wanted. For example, the game should have a story with different characters (these characters finished on the main menu). Anyway, I hope you’ll enjoy playing the game as much we enjoyed making it!

Hi! Work in progress!

We are almost done! Here is a screen shot of our baby, without the cuuuuuute meow that are driving us a little bit MAD!

So, imagine the look of your future kittens? How sweet can be a mutated kitty with a pink pelage and butterflyz flying around it?

But beware: the ChemicalX agent can also create horrors, wich could spread some ugly DNA in the blood of your sweetyzzz zz z zzz zzz zzz … nobody’s tired!

I think it’s time to reveal our very first screenshot. Yes, we are kind of slow to make the game but, after all, we have all the time we need, isn’t it?

Yes yes we know… Another game with kittens which are evolving. But this time, you can soak your pets in a big uranium barrel. What a good life 😀

Good morning, good night, jamers!

The Schrödinger team is glad to announce a great new: we have an idea! Since few hours, all the team is drawing, coding, designing and drinking coffee to make a very first prototype of the game. On the right, you can see two C++ coders and on the left, two graphic artists. Behind the camera, one game designer.


We have unfortunately nothing to show you but something very important can be revealed: there will be kittens. Yes, kittens! You’ll even be able to make them pretty and cute. Or kill them al. You’ve got the choice.

But, for the moment, it’s time to eat good food. Take also a look on the wonderful poster from my little sister.

So, just a message to tell you that we are about 7 (or maybe more!!) crazy froggies from Paris who gonna try to make, for the first time, a video game for the Ludum Dare! Staying 72h in a cave and eating pizzas, the experience must be only great :-)

For the moment, I’m preparing my house and my courage to wait for the theme until 1 A.M., because, as you know, there is a big time difference between France and USA…
