I didn’t get up too long ago… Just making a start. My last Ludum Dare I made a game called Motherboard City, and you played as Chip. I came up with the character Crisp, Chips British evil twin. You see what I did there?! =D Anyway, here’s some food to keep me going.
You can follow my progress on @imwestm / Last.fm / Liveblog

I had a practice last night. I messed up with the drawing of the pipes, but other than that I’m happy with not loosing (I think) any of my Flash skills. Hopefully there will be a theme that doesn’t require too many mechanics, and that I can still make a side scroller.

My coding skills are limited, so as long as its something in my range, I’ll have ago =] Here’s where I’ll be working for the jam. I’ll have to have a trip to the shops to get some food and then my desk will be no longer tidy!

I think I’m doing well, time wise… I think… Just adding the little details and background items. I still have a few more things to draw. Then I’m going to figure out how to make an animation for the ending and I hopefully should have at least one hour to figure out about music/other audio.
I just updated the game, first one to have actual playable levels =] 9hr 40m left. I’ll be sad when its over, but it’s going to feel nice =]

The idea of the game is to escape Motherboard City. You play as Chip, just a little dude jumping his way out of a dangerous city. You travel around the four corners of the motherboard to reach the open PCI backplate, Chip is dying to reach the outside world.
I gave up with the game tonight. I don’t have too much to do tomorrow so I should be able to get it done in time =] You can get the full sized version from my Flickr.

I’ve finished the main parts of lvl 1,2, and 4. I still need to draw a few things for lvl 3. Then I need to move on to backgrounds and audio and then do an ending animation.
I kinda forgot to post on this, I’ve been posting on Twitter. This is my first time making a game, and first time using flash for something other than flash websites. Here’s a few screenshots and a little playable demo thingy that really doesn’t have much.
