Joined I think around 2 years ago. Had some encouraging feedback on my extremely rough game then (made with farb’s pycap engine: http://www.farbs.org/pycap.html).

I want to try again, even though I should have less time now than my previous LD :)

This game most likely suck worse than my previous game, but what the heck :)

Unexpected Progress

Since my Ludum Dare weekend is still basically a normal (BUSY) weekend for me, i have limited time to make my entry. I created a schedule, lo and behold, i’m behind schedule :(

But just now, most of the basic mechanics are working, and just the Enemy shooting needs to be in place, and the game is mechanically complete :)

The art sucks, but hopefully i’ll have time to at least animate some of the sprites :)

Some preparations

I’ve been meaning to do some preparations since 3 days ago, but normal life have been busy, and finally was able to practice coding for Pycap again.

Its pretty straight forward, the only BIG problem with it is the terrible debugging experience :(
Aaaand if something goes wrong, I’ll be hard-pressed to find any help online, as so very few people use it.
But I like it, it does a lot in few lines, hopefully Farbs will update it, at least just to help debugging be easier.

So i’ll be using this “practice code” as my template later, just to minimize the usual problems.

Going to try again, after attempting last December’s Ludum Dare, which unfortunately coincided with my flight (and Game Maker Studio refusing to start without any internet connection during the flight :/ … ).

I’ll be using…

Pycap (Python binding for Popcap’s 2D framework).

umm, probably either MS-paint or Gimp for visuals.

sounds by Mulab(free) or Nanoloop on my Android phone.

Weekend’s going to be a bit busy, but I will finish something :)

First time!

too bad though this weekend’s going to be quite busy, i probably would only have about a day to do the game [probably some of it while on the plane], but we’ll try to finish it in time :)
