How about this? Like this post, waste 10 seconds, be content AND 10 seconds closer to the actual announcement of the game placings. Genius!

This might help too (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nu6Os0R-tq4)

Hey there, we screwed up!

While messing around with unity, we created a multiplayer alpha build of our game where you can connect to a server and essentially dogfight people. Unfortunately we built the project to the public dropbox folder and replaced the entire game with just a really basic framework, and no gameplay.

We strongly urge people who rated our game badly and whom we could not contact because they didn’t leave a comment to spend a few minutes checking out the original game, of which we had a backup and replaced the modified build with. Sorry for the inconvenience and thank you so much for your time, should you give us another shot..

Orbfall, a mobile app we’re making. Also “We’re in”!

Hey guys, so I’ve been in Ludum Dare 3 times now over the past 4 years, with pretty meagre results for the first two, but nevertheless, they were fun weekends! So first of all, we are going to be joining Ludum Dare this December, using Unity, Blender and Photoshop predominantly. We’re a team of 3, with me, Topaz, being the programmer and main designer, with Binary Star and Aerstrix on texturing and 3D modelling.

About 4 months ago we started work on a mobile arcade game called “Orbfall”. Now how you play is pretty simple – you roll a ball around a grid of blocks by tilting your mobile device. Some of these blocks explode, some teleport, some fall much faster than others. Pretty much you just have to stay above the lava as long as possible.

The Kickstarter link is just here

so feel free to leave a question or message here, or on the page. If you have the time to share this also, that would be so cool!

– Topaz

Hey you!

– Got some serious guts?

– Got the time?

Never mind either of those because you don’t need guts (the game provides plenty), and you’ve still got a week (it’ll take ya 10 mins max when you get the hang of it)!

There’s still a week left to play 0x2603, and since you’ve already seen the best and worst LD31 has had to offer, you’ll even have hindsight to rate it against.

Things of note:

– Catchy music

– Low res but high swag

– Pretty decent artworks (I think they’re good)

– A storyline around the theme – not mechanics

– Fairly hardcore gameplay, but (I hope) interesting and rewarding storyline

Made by Topaz (Python Programming), and Binary Star (Photoshop Artworking)!

PS: Bonus points if you already got the reference in the name before this line

You should try 0x2603. Honestly, come listen to the swag music and watch the great storyline. If you get bored, maybe look for some easter eggs *cough* starting with the name 😉

Good luck finishing, some pretty challenging levels there too.

☃ Happy Ludum Dare to you all. Was great fun making this, and been heaps of fun so far rating other entries. ☃

Made this little thing in like half a week. Just a simple particles creation and render module for PyGame, probably so messy you wouldn’t want to touch it though ahaha. If you’re wondering about controls just look in the code down at the event collection.
